I got up later than usual Shock so am just having my silent cuppa now! The girls are sock on.

I was considering a trip to town for some Christmas bits (yes, I know it's October) with my final wage from the job that made me redundant but, it looks wet and miserable outside, so I may order some things online instead.

I might finish my embroidery too. And do all the normal weekend stuff of cleaning/uniform washing & ironing etc.

I have no idea what the girls want to do yet...hopefully nothing too taxing!

What about you lot? :)

Hopefully giving birth. Getting cramps that are fairly regular, but no doubt they'll stop soon like they always do. Then probably just continuing to rock on my ball.

Very fed up. Embroidery sounds nice. Christmas or normal?

lucysmam · 03/10/2020 10:22

Ooh @FourPlasticRings how exciting! Is this your first?

The embroidery is a unicorn dd2 asked for for her bedroom. There's just the last of it's hair & then tidying up the scraggly edges to do. Then on with Christmas I think so I have plenty of time

Cleaning and tidying, ready to be chucked out for the evening so daughter can have 5 friends around for a birthday party of pizza and movies. Does mean I get to go out for the evening though Grin. They are restricted to lounge and cloakroom which I will then be rescrubbing tomorrow.

Working in custody
Going to be a busy shift

WhyCouldThisBe · 03/10/2020 10:31

Washing ironing, perhaps a bit of Netflix while the youngest naps and the older ones keep themselves entertained, a nice lunch or dinner perhaps out at a restaurant, then relax at home with a cuppa and try to keep sane!

badlydrawnbear · 03/10/2020 10:41

No idea. Am working tonight. It's dark and raining. I am not sure I can face the argument with DC about doing something other than watching videos of youtubers playing minecraft and have no idea what to suggest they do instead.

Whattheduck · 03/10/2020 10:42

Catching up on some tv before going to pick dd up from her boyfriends and dropping her at her dance class then need to get some food bits and do some washing before picking her up again then home to do some cleaning and make burgers for tea.No plans for tonight will probably watch a film.

peboh · 03/10/2020 10:43

Dd and I were meant to walking into town to pick up an order from next, and mooch about a bit. However it's wet and miserable outside. So we're currently watching Netflix, and having a hot chocolate. Need to hop in the car later and food shop, so will probably pick up the click and collect when we do that.

FromTheAllotment · 03/10/2020 10:48

DH and I are still in bed here Shock Grin the DC are downstairs watching CBeebies and re-enacting bits of it from the sounds of things.

I need to go to the library and to B&Q. DS wants to build a Lego fire engine later. DD wants to make biscuits. Specifically jammy dodgers Hmm I am struggling to motivate myself, for me the joy of baking is making something you can’t buy in the shops! But given that I was the one who bought her the book with the recipe in, I can’t really object.

I’m going out with a friend tonight so looking forward to that.

Good luck FourPlasticRings, hope you get a nice easy sneeze birth Grin

autumnredhead · 03/10/2020 10:49

After sleeping terribly the last few nights I managed to sleep until half 4, dozed off again until half 8.

I'm working from home and I'm so busy in the week I have no time to do any housework. I've hoovered the house, but all the washing away, a load of washing in the washer, next load going in shortly.

Off out with my friend and her kids for a hot chocolate, which was meant to be followed by a walk, but it's raining so maybe not.

Home, make a tuna pasta bake for tea. And relax in front of a film.

ilovebagpuss · 03/10/2020 10:49

Morning! Very gloomy here too. I’m sitting with second coffee watching the news channel.DH and DD’s still in bed. We have some smoked salmon and bagels for breakfast as a treat or a bacon butty.
Might go to town also to get a few bits maybe for stockings as I actually managed to put some money aside this year so I can shop a bit earlier.
Usual jobs and cooking to do need to go to the butchers for some weekly meats.
Hope your baby is on the way @FourPlasticRings How exciting.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 03/10/2020 10:50

Clearing out DS’s old bedroom to turn it into my soap making den

ssd · 03/10/2020 10:53

Hi lucysmam, hope you enjoyed your lie in. 😊
We are self isolating as dh tested positive. And it's raining so we can't even get in the garden. Gonna be a looong day.

Ernieshere · 03/10/2020 10:53

I am not sure I can face the argument with DC about doing something other than watching videos of youtubers playing minecraft and have no idea what to suggest they do instead.

Yes, sometimesbyou have to pick your battles. DD watches this, sometimes I feel guilty as it means I can crack on with housework, and sometimes I think does it really matter.

Bluewavescrashing · 03/10/2020 10:53

We're all knackered so a quiet day. Films, crafts, couple of loads of washing. Tesco delivery later so I'll cook a nice meal this evening.

MissRabbitIsExhausted · 03/10/2020 10:56

We also have to self isolate so it's a day in the house for us, it's a miserable day so can't even play in the garden. I imagine it'll be a day of watching frozen 2 400 times, but I'm picking my battles for the next 2 weeks and if I means more frozen and screen time to get through it then that's what'll need to happen Grin
We might bake a cake later too!

vampirethriller · 03/10/2020 10:58

At the moment the toddler and i watching Andy's Dinosaur adventures and sharing a tangerine. Bread in the oven.
It's cold and foggy but we're going out this afternoon for a walk with the dog and might pick some blackberries.

MinnieMountain · 03/10/2020 11:05

DH left early this morning for 5 days surfing with a friend.

I've made a pea and mushroom curry.

DS is alternating between playing and watching TV. He's still in his pyjamas.

We're going to make biscuits later. I need some fresh air, so we'll go for a walk to feed the swans and jump in puddles. Fish and chips for supper (another excuse for a walk).

Goldensunnydays81 · 03/10/2020 11:08

Good Luck @FourPlasticRings
Current being very lazy having a lie in, i need to get up and tidy the kitchen, do some washing and a shop at Lidl. Want to do some Lego with ds and maybe a bit of painting with him but I think it is going to be a very chilled rainy Saturday

wendz86 · 03/10/2020 11:11

We are just waiting for dd2 to do ballet and tap . Sat in car as we aren’t allowed to wait inside now . Home for quick lunch then drop dd1 off for her dance lessons .
This afternoon they are off to their dads so I get my first night off in a while . I’m planning on ordering a takeaway and getting my gin club delivery today so giving that a taste .

Teaandchocolatedigestives · 03/10/2020 11:13

ILs were supposed to come down today but we're in local lockdown. We're have a a chilled day at home. We're sorting through toys, cupboards, etc. Hopefully go for a walk if the weather let's up. Curry currently in the slow cooker for tonight, DH and I having a 'date night' of sorts once kids are in bed.

Catiopea · 03/10/2020 11:14

That’s pretty lucysmum & good luck Four Flowers

More sanding & finally, finally getting first ceiling & undercoat done on my bedroom. I had hoped to be finished by now so nearly running out of steam but giving up isn’t an option 😂 I might allow myself a shower break tomorrow night.

Purplecatshopaholic · 03/10/2020 11:16

Chilled day in the house. Weather is awful so even walking the dog will be an issue as he is currently refusing to go out!

DeeDimer · 03/10/2020 11:17

Nights A&E tonight so a lovely chilled day.

HelloCanYouHearMe · 03/10/2020 11:18

DS is with his dad this weekend. I got up early, went food shopping, come home and put the slow cooker on (lamb stew) and am now having a coffee, watching James Martin on ITV and waiting for DP to come round...
