I got up later than usual Shock so am just having my silent cuppa now! The girls are sock on.

I was considering a trip to town for some Christmas bits (yes, I know it's October) with my final wage from the job that made me redundant but, it looks wet and miserable outside, so I may order some things online instead.

I might finish my embroidery too. And do all the normal weekend stuff of cleaning/uniform washing & ironing etc.

I have no idea what the girls want to do yet...hopefully nothing too taxing!

What about you lot? :)

Hmm, I have to scrub the kitchen, walls and everything Sad
Lesson to everyone: do NOT put a handwarmer in a pan of water to boil and FORGET ALL ABOUT IT! Blush
Nice dense plastic fumes coated everything. 2 days of open windows have helped but smell still clings to some surfaces. I have already cleaned the cooker hood and cooker to within an inch of their life, done cupboard doors, and today I got the ladder out to do cupboard top and ceiling.
Yes I know nobody to blame but myself!
We had nothing else planned, the kids are doing homework, weather really wet but I may venture out for a run later since it's not that cold. I was going to catch up on my PGCert studies, been so busy with work (from home) that I let it slide, I really need to spend some time on that too!
DH is watching TV Grin but is helping me in the kitchen when I need him to (ladders etc)

I have just woken up... work been crazy and hours been antisocial, so clearly I needed it.
Quiet outside so assume this means the endless rain of yesterday has stopped, though weeding may still not be the job of the day.
I need to clean the kitchen floor and do a bit more unpacking. I shall make butternut squash soup at some point and I need to use up some courgettes, so either with feta as fritters, or marinated in a buddha bowl for dinner. And waiting for an update from fourplasticrings now too - good luck!

DS has just come out of isolation ready for a weekend of torrential rain Angry so we're going to a local soft play with friends this afternoon.

I've had a nice, long lie in and we're all currently snuggled on the sofa watching Saturday Kitchen.

DH is making steak & ale pie for tea and I've got a nice bottle of red to go with it.

Dh is at work all day today (started at 8 and will probably finish about 10, still it's earlier than in the past before all this so), and is in at 3 tomorrow afternoon.

I'm at home with ds. Usual weekend things for me, so washing, ironing and general tidying the house.

Also need to take family photos tomorrow morning as ds needs them next week for RE at school. We never have pictures taken so will stage some so at least he has some. And will help him do his homework (his first bit of homework so I'm proud) now I've finally worked out how to use google classroom.

Lazy morning doing a lot of nothing today.
Currently lazing in bed due to working night shift tonight.

We went to our local deli for brunch, now home under a blanket trying to keep it down (morning/all day sickness!). Will try to get out for another stroll later and then Netflix this evening. It's feeling very autumnal here, but I'm quite enjoying it.
