Where in the bedroom do you hang/put worn but not dirty clothes?

If you have worn something but it’s not dirty and you will probably wear it the next day where do you put it? I have a smallish bedroom and am trying to work out what would be good to put an outfit on that I don’t want back in the wardrobe. What do you use if your room is short on space - Chair, floor, rail, rack, box?

I just pop it on a hanger at the end of the rail in my wardrobe.

Hooks on the back of the door

Back in the wardrobe - we have no space to put it anywhere else.

Fold it up and put it just under the edge of the bed.

BertieBob · 30/09/2020 22:09

Surly that's what the chair is for?

ellieboulou33 · 30/09/2020 22:09

Hallway bannisters or hanger on outside of wardrobe, I also have hooks on my wall, always wondered what other do too!

Justmuddlingalong · 30/09/2020 22:09

"The chair."

LuxuryWoman2020 · 30/09/2020 22:09

On a hanger on hooks on the back of the door, after this airing overnight they go back in the wardrobe but inside out so I remember I wore it. Everything worn but not dirty gets this. If the weather is dry it goes outside for a couple of hours then back in the wardrobe.

Reykjavikagain · 30/09/2020 22:10

Didn’t think about hooks on door. So obvious but it didn’t cross my mind but that would work,

Basket in the bottom of the wardrobe. Got rid of the chair, so much neater now!

MrsJBaptiste · 30/09/2020 22:10

Er, back in the wardrobe or drawers, hung up or folded with my other clothes.

MonkeyPuddle · 30/09/2020 22:11

I can’t bear things left lying around. There is no chair of already work clothing. That would irritate me each time I saw it.

Dreading2020sSeasonFinale · 30/09/2020 22:11

The bedroom chair of course. That chair that had never actually been sat on, but merely sits there as a receptacle for all your still wearable clothes, many of which you don't put back on the following day and the chair pile just grows and grows until you say screw it, pick the huge pile up and dump it all in the laundry basket.

Or is it just me?

Hotelhelp · 30/09/2020 22:13

I couldn’t put worn clothes back in the wardrobe it would feel all sorts of wrong!

TheFlis12345 · 30/09/2020 22:13

Look up valet stands, it’s what they were designed for and they take up less room than a chair.

Reykjavikagain · 30/09/2020 22:14

I would have a bedroom chair Dreading and I’m sure I’d pile things up into a skyscraper of clothes that may or may not be worn the next day/day after that. I don’t have enough room for one though which is probably a blessing.

Floor ... (bad I know!)

itbemay1 · 30/09/2020 22:15

Hanger on wardrobe door handle

Reykjavikagain · 30/09/2020 22:15

I’ve never heard of a valet stand! Now that’s a clever idea.

Hotelhelp me either which is why I’m asking. I need a space saving alternative thing,

A freestanding towel rack / stand

Scweltish · 30/09/2020 22:19

Imo it’s either unworn or it’s dirty and it’ll go back in the wash

charlieclown · 30/09/2020 22:20

All good suggestions

I am just here to say I call it the pending pile.

TheHighestSardine · 30/09/2020 22:20

Tops/dresses, back in the wardrobe but hung at the other end facing the opposite way. Helps if there's enough room for a gap between used and clean!
Legs, over the chair back.
