Where in the bedroom do you hang/put worn but not dirty clothes?

If you have worn something but it’s not dirty and you will probably wear it the next day where do you put it? I have a smallish bedroom and am trying to work out what would be good to put an outfit on that I don’t want back in the wardrobe. What do you use if your room is short on space - Chair, floor, rail, rack, box?

My things tend to go on a small cabinet behind the door. DH and DC favour the floor.

@DustyMaiden

In the laundry basket.
As in, the washing basket? So you wash everything after you've worn it, even if just for a few hours and it still smells and looks clean? 😯

I bought a coat stand exactly for this purpose!

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 01/10/2020 11:26

Hooks on the back of the door.

movingonup20 · 01/10/2020 11:27

Bottom of the bed now as we have a metal bed. Before on my dressing table stall (currently doesn't fit in room, can't wait to move!)

uncomfortablydumb53 · 01/10/2020 13:10

Draped over the end of my bed( bedroom the size of a shoebox so no other choice)

limesoda · 01/10/2020 14:02

Back in the wardrobe here. Couldn't be doing with the clutter of anything else.

zigaziga · 01/10/2020 14:22

In theory, back in the wardrobe. Far too often they go in the “pile” though.
I tend to assume clothes are still clean and then sometimes find them the next day hung up in the wardrobe all dirty and I kick myself.

MrsT1405 · 01/10/2020 15:32

I have an over the door hanger with hooks on. I wear jeans or shorts and tee most of the day as we only go out now and again at the moment. My go out clothes hang up.....means I wear them maybe 3 or4 times for a couple of hours a time. People must think I only have 2 outfits.

We wear stuff once and then it's in the laundry. I cant bear stuff lying around

Oly4 · 01/10/2020 16:31

Hung over the bathroom radiator or the side of the bath in en suite

BearSoFair · 01/10/2020 16:41

Folded on top of the chest of drawers. Also makes sure we don't leave a pile of clean clothes sitting there for ages!

sakura06 · 01/10/2020 16:46

Over the bannister or on the ottoman at the end of the bed.

BigGlasses · 01/10/2020 16:49

@Dee1975 glad it isn't just me 🤣

Reykjavikagain · 01/10/2020 17:25

BigGlasses. I think that’s it! That would be perfect as it doesn’t take up space. Was it easy to put together and is it sturdy?

I bought a couple of these from Ikea. Have fixed DD's onto her wardrobe and she is v impressed. She is a scatty teenager and usually hangs things on the floor. I think you could probably fix them to a wall or side of any wardrobe, not just a Pax one. I can't be 100% sure as mine is buried under a pile of clothes on the chair of doom.

DahliaGardener · 02/10/2020 18:20

Add it to the heap.

BigGlasses · 02/10/2020 18:52

I didn’t buy the Next one ( I just picked a picture off the internet) , mine was eBay I think and it came already made. But it works well, doesn’t take up much space!

The floordrobe

Taswama · 02/10/2020 19:24

On a chair(shared with DP). Pre lockdown I would cull on a Sunday evening as DP and I mostly wore suits / smart stuff during the week anyway.
Work clothing that could be worn again was returned to the wardrobe.

Itstheprinciple · 02/10/2020 19:30

We have the banister of doom. DH mostly uses it and then chooses new clothes and leaves them there, accumlating.

Jolonglegs · 02/10/2020 19:31

the chair!
