Where in the bedroom do you hang/put worn but not dirty clothes?

If you have worn something but it’s not dirty and you will probably wear it the next day where do you put it? I have a smallish bedroom and am trying to work out what would be good to put an outfit on that I don’t want back in the wardrobe. What do you use if your room is short on space - Chair, floor, rail, rack, box?

DH uses the bedroom chair. I have a couple of hooks on the back of the door. I don't like putting worn things back into the wardrobe but I obviously can't wear the same cardigan / trousers for three days in a row at work! I rotate them until they're ready for the wash.

I had a hat stand in my last bedroom which was v good for this. Hooks on inner wardrobe now.

Trousers on hangers on one the end of the bookcase (the other end has a tie rack hanging on it which is where necklaces live.
Pilates kit on hangers on a hook on the door.
Fleece/cardigans on hangers on wardrobe knobs.
Dressing gown/kimonos hung on the ends of the wardrobe (it's in an alcove so there's a small gap either end they fit in nicely.

MrsDrudge · 30/09/2020 23:22

On the handlebars or saddle of my exercise bike.

rorosemary · 30/09/2020 23:27

Me-hooks on the door
DH- the floor.

For some reason his stuff doesn't wrinkle either. That frustrates me for some reason.... doesn't seem fair...

CeeceeBloomingdale · 30/09/2020 23:31

Over the bannister on the landing

DiscombobulatedAf · 30/09/2020 23:36

On the chair of doom of course

Figmentofimagination · 30/09/2020 23:37

On a spare dining room chair/ on hooks on the back of the door.

flatpack1 · 30/09/2020 23:38

@Scweltish

Imo it’s either unworn or it’s dirty and it’ll go back in the wash

I can't leave my stuff on the floor, my dog apparently saw it as his duty to protect me from knobbly hard bits on my clothes, such as buttons, and zippers. He trained me to hang stuff up.

Unfortunately the dog doesn't love DH so much, so he can leave his clothes on the floor with impunity.Hmm

Enrosadira · 30/09/2020 23:47

Ikea adesive hook on the inside of the bedroom door. Works a treat.

Spiderbaby8 · 30/09/2020 23:55

The chair Grin

Chloemol · 30/09/2020 23:56

Chair, or on a hanger on the wardrobe door

Fizbosshoes · 01/10/2020 00:01

Urgh DH has a mound of clothes on the floor, some will be clean and he hasnt bothered to put away, some worn and need to be washed and some are the inbetweeners that apparently belong on a chair. It's the bane of my life. Our bedroom never looks tidy because theres always a mountain pile of clothes on the floor. I would get a valet stand if I thought he might hang something neatly on it, but I know that would not happen.Sad

ShopTattsyrup · 01/10/2020 00:08

Stuff like jeans & comfy joggers - chair of doom
Dresses or skirts - back in the wardrobe on hangers
Cardigans and hoodies - back of the bedroom door

BringMeThatHorizon · 01/10/2020 00:09

The floor

IamAporcupine · 01/10/2020 00:12

@Justmuddlingalong

"The chair."
I opened the thread to write exactly this!
caringcarer · 01/10/2020 00:14

On a coat hanger on hook on back of door. If I wear it on a Monday I might wear it again Thursday.

QueSera · 01/10/2020 00:21

Hooks on the back of the door
This

Trumpton · 01/10/2020 00:25

Does nobody else call it “ The Chair of Despair “? Rather than the “ Chair of Doom” ?
Anyway that’s whereI leave mine . Certainly couldn’t hang a humanoid shape on my door , I would frighten myself when I got up for a wee in the night !

DustyMaiden · 01/10/2020 00:31

In the laundry basket.

AlwaysLatte · 01/10/2020 00:35

I put everything in the laundry except jeans and jumpers that I wear up to 2/3 times. In that case I put them back in the wardrobe/drawer. My husband drives me mad, leaving clothes on a chair in the bedroom then choosing different clothes the next day.
