A truly special, wonderful, dreamy, luxurious box of chocolates?

I really like to buy a truly special, wonderful, dreamy, luxurious box of chocolates. But I'm not sure where to get it from. I'm originally not from the UK. Where I come from Godiva was quite popular as a luxury treat (when I was there so may not be the case any more...). Is it the same here? How about Hotel Chocolat? Are they any good? Any other recommendation?? Attractive looking would be nice, but it has to taste absolutely out of this world. Appreciate any input!

Look up secret truffletier - the truffles are gorgeous

KitKatastrophe · 24/09/2020 22:44

I like Hotel Chocolat and Montezuma are even better.

Oly4 · 24/09/2020 22:46

I like Godiva and Hotel Chcolat. And Lindt

I really love Charbonel & Walker.
You can get them in John Lewis

amieejust · 24/09/2020 22:49

Hotel Chocolat are not as good as they used to be. I find them too sweet and sickly these days.

Moser Roth by Aldi is the best chocolate I've ever had, Lindor is good too.

ZolaGrey · 24/09/2020 22:51

Charbonnel et Walker or Prestat.

Neuhaus are divine (and pricey). I make my DH get me a box when he visits Belgium Grin

mrsriceball · 24/09/2020 22:54

Wow. Thanks. Lots of new names. Will check them all. Is Neuhaus only available in Belgium? It has to be available in the UK as that's where I am now...

Highland Chocolatier is amazing! The boxes of truffles are expensive but so good.

monkeyonthetable · 24/09/2020 22:58

I was just about to say The Highland Chocolatier. That's the only out of this world chocolate I've ever eaten. I hate Montezuma - it tastes like bitter wax. Hotel Chocolat is OK. But Highland Chocolatier does the most incredible complex flavours. A real treat though. A box costs the same as a bottle of vintage champagne!

mrsriceball · 24/09/2020 23:10

Just checked Highland Chocolatier. They look great... Thinking of Award Winning selection or Just Truffles... I will check all the recommendations first though. No rush.

Chocolates of Glenshiel are the best chocolates I’ve ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot!

mrsriceball · 24/09/2020 23:22

Chocolates of Glenshiel looks nice too. I used to LOVE chocolates with whisky inside. Does anyone know about Rococo Chocolates?

Highland Chocolatier or Charlotte Flowers. Chocolate is a bit of a thing in Scotland at the moment.

Rococo's seagull eggs are ridiculously tasty! I love their chocolate OP

materialmama · 24/09/2020 23:35

For a special present either Pierre Marcolini or Jeff de Bruges.

materialmama · 24/09/2020 23:38

Turns out Jeff de Bruges has closed down. That's a shame.

happyrage20 · 24/09/2020 23:38

Godiva without a doubt

JamieFrasersSwingingKilt · 24/09/2020 23:39

Rococo chocolate and Artisan du Chocolat are both delicious and indulgent.

Fortnum and mason. Magical.

You're all pretending to be far too posh! Ferrero Rocher all the way!

Michel Cluizel. Delicious.
