We seem to have so many all of a sudden. I have a feeling they're going to become like hair bobbles - we'll have masses but never be able to find one in a rush.

I'm thinking hooks but I'm so bamboozled by the choice I don't know where to begin. Whatever we do it will probably have to go on wallpaper so suction hooks are not the answer

On the other hand I suppose if they properly lock us down we won't be going anywhere so its a silly question

DD has those little pegs you get in stationary shops and she hangs them on string in her room. I have ziplock bags for mine

zigaziga · 21/09/2020 10:23

Shoved in the bottom on my handbag GrinConfused

PotatoHead2020 · 21/09/2020 10:24

I have a notice board in the kitchen and I've pinned up a sandwich bag, hanging open so it's easy to pop clean ones in from the wash/grab one before heading out.

Mrsjayy · 21/09/2020 10:25

So are mine but in ikea bags Grin

NothingIsWrong · 21/09/2020 10:35

screwed up in the bottom of my bag. I have a couple shoved in the glove compartment of the car as well

badlydrawnbear · 21/09/2020 10:36

I have a small drawstring bag made from a pillow case. I didn’t make it, I’m a nurse and we were given them at the beginning of COVID times to bring our uniform home in but this one is a bit small so I store masks in it. It lives on the radiator in the hall so they are near the front door.

inappropriateraspberry · 21/09/2020 10:38

In separate ziplock bags (I found snack sized ones from Tesco are a good fit) and kept in the drawer in the hall table by the front door. Easy to chuck in bag or put on when needed.

Seeline · 21/09/2020 10:39

Large freezer bag by the front door.

People dump the dirty ones in the utility sink and I then hand wash in detergent when there are a good few there. When dry back in the freezer bag so people can pick one up before going out.

I have a spare disposable in my bag, and keep a fabric one in the car which I use eg at the petrol station, popping into the post office etc. That gets washed every few days.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 21/09/2020 10:40

We have three mesh bags (the reusable veg bags from Sainsbury's). Two in the house, marked clean and dirty. When going out, you get a clean mask from the clean bag, then it goes in the dirty bag when it's been used. Then there's a bag of of two adult, two child masks in the glove box in the car, plus disposables.
Every few days I Chuck the closed dirty bag in the washing machine- added advantage it keeps them together. They go straight from the line into the clean bag.

Legoandloldolls · 21/09/2020 10:41

We all have our own in various places, but this is a IKEA ziplock bag, tacked to the wall by the back door.

I always want spares for washing etc but I dont want tonnes of them either all over the house

1 in my handbag
1 in the car

hilariousnamehere · 21/09/2020 10:52

Box by the front door with masks and sanitiser. Fling in washing basket and go straight from dry back to the box :)

bananaboats · 21/09/2020 10:53

Another vote for shoved in the bottom of my handbag Grin

Lozz22 · 21/09/2020 10:55

Work ones boot of car. Personal use one inside sun visor. I still spend half my time running back to the car though to grab it before going into a shop. The other week I got half way round before I suddenly realised I didn't have one on.

Hiccupiscal · 21/09/2020 10:57

Hanging off the mirror in my car?

CamelotSweetheart · 21/09/2020 10:57

Clean ones in a basket by the front door.

RosieBdy · 21/09/2020 10:58

Clean ones are in a small wicker basket on top of our shoe box (plus a set for everyone in my handbag and in the car incase we forget!). I figured we would see them as we put on shoes and hopefully remember!
Dirty ones get put in a zip lock bag until whoever was wearing it gets home, then put in a larger bag inside a cupboard in the kitchen until I wash them.

movingonup20 · 21/09/2020 11:00

Centre bit in car, bottom of handbag, bike shopping basket, bottom of favourite supermarket shopping bag ... still forget to take one sometimes!

Herja · 21/09/2020 11:00

They are pegged to a little washing line (?) made of copper wire, that goes across my front window, with little wooden pegs. It doesn't look that awful, and I see them when I'm leaving the house, so I remember to take one.

JellyBabiesSaveLives · 21/09/2020 11:02

The children - I have provided mini pegs on string in their rooms but they refer the “screwed up in blazer pocket” option.

Adults - one in every bag and one in the car. Next to the inhalers, glucose tablets and GTN spray

I’m just collecting all the masks once a week for a wash

thebeatofthedrum · 21/09/2020 11:05

Command Mini Hooks under a shelf in the kitchen. Worn ones go in an old mayonnaise jar on the window sill until washing.

lilmishap · 21/09/2020 11:08

In every bag, in every coat pocket, on a pile on top of the washer due to emptying pockets.
I still getting to the shop and having to come home for one though.

AntiHop · 21/09/2020 11:09

A plastic box on a shelf. Worn ones go straight in the washing machine to wait for the next wash. I have some medical grade ones that I use on public transport. When I get home, I put it on a door handle to air, and throw it away after a few uses.

Namechangeme87 · 21/09/2020 11:10

Screwed up on my bedroom floor tbh Blush

Wiaa · 21/09/2020 11:10

Oh god I need a system we bought 100, the washed ones end up in a pile in my bedroom and only get reused when I put a few in my handbag. We have a pack of disposables in the car and a pack of reusables on the changing station. There are always used ones hanging off the pram and in the car and by the front door. Dh rewears his loads as he generally only wears them for a few minutes. I use loads as I have to wear on the school run and I don't tend to rewear so I have about 3 in my handbag at any one time
