We seem to have so many all of a sudden. I have a feeling they're going to become like hair bobbles - we'll have masses but never be able to find one in a rush.

I'm thinking hooks but I'm so bamboozled by the choice I don't know where to begin. Whatever we do it will probably have to go on wallpaper so suction hooks are not the answer

On the other hand I suppose if they properly lock us down we won't be going anywhere so its a silly question

We have an over-the-door hanger (five hooks, from Sainsbury's) that goes over the kitchen door on the hall side. All clean masks go on there straight from the airer (a hook per person).
I put a clean mask or two into a Ziploc bag for the children each morning when I'm sorting their lunches.

That makes me sound really organised, doesn't it?

The hanger was spare from a big sort out over summer, and was dumped on the kitchen door until I could think of a use, and it evolved in MASK HANGER Grin

Spare clean ones in a lidded plastic box by front door. 2 in a plastic bag in the car , 2 in a plastic bag in my shopping bag .
Used ones into a bag next to washing machine in utility room

Blownaway22 · 21/09/2020 11:13

Washed are kept in hotpress which inevitably means a last minute dash upstairs. Used are put in a box on windowsil near back door ... or are found shoved into a blazer pocket. I keep one in car and also have a box of disposables in car for anyone who forgets theirs.

SweetPetrichor · 21/09/2020 11:46

Ours are in top drawer of the shoe storage by the door, in bedside hats, gloves, scarves, etc. We do have a backup box of disposable ones in the car just in case we forget the washable ones.

Em3978 · 21/09/2020 11:52

On a window sucker on the inside of the front door.

Well, two window suckers now, we out masked the first one! Ear ones for me and DH, back of head ones for DS as he can't wear ear ones cos his ears are the wrong shape. Grin

ohdearmymistake · 21/09/2020 12:07

Chucked on the passenger seat in the car, some in the glove box, some in the bottom of my bag, some in the door pocket in the car.

If I don't leave them in the car then I forget to take any.

inappropriateraspberry · 21/09/2020 12:08

Why isn't everyone keeping them in bags? Kind of defeats the point if you're leaving them hanging around to get touched and breathed on!

Flaunch · 21/09/2020 12:09

Mine are hung over the gear knob in my car.

SoManyActivities · 21/09/2020 12:12

Another one screwed up in the bottom of my bag. I would just forget it otherwise!

BionicEar · 21/09/2020 12:15

Have clean ones in zip washable bags in an old pe bag hanging up by front door.

Used ones are put back into zip washable bags. When return home they go into big plastic tub in porch. Hand sanitiser gel is next tub so can wash hands afterwards.

Every few days they all got washed in hot wash.

paintspatteredpants · 21/09/2020 12:39

Stuffed in a compartment of my handbag, in dog walking bag and in the little well behind the gear stick. I'm reusing disposable ones, probably wear once a day for an hour at most every other

Nat6999 · 21/09/2020 12:39

Mine is in the utility room until I need it again, just been washed, ds has disposable ones for school, keeps a few in a zip loc bag in his bag & a bulk supply on the sideboard in the hall so he can grab them as he goes out. I can't see the point of disposable ones if needing them daily, too expensive, cheaper to buy reusable washables but ds prefers the disposable ones for the bus & in school, not that it sounds like they use them much, he is in sixth form & from what he has told me they make a coffee last as long as they can in study periods so they don't have to put a mask on.

Whathappenedtothelego · 21/09/2020 12:39

We each have a sealable plastic bag that lives with the coats and shoes.

One emergency mask in the glovebox of the car.

NekoShiro · 21/09/2020 12:47

Mine are hung on the back of my bedroom door handle, after washing to dry, as it's right next to my stairs to my front door and is always open, I only go out to get medicine once a month so I'm not worried about contamination at home.

Pelleas · 21/09/2020 12:58

Clean ones in a wooden box in hallway.

Dirty ones into bowl for washing.

Reedwarbler · 21/09/2020 13:07

Those blue disposable ones wash well - I discovered this by accident. It's the only one I've washed though. I have 2 home made ones which I put on when I have to.

FallonsTeaRoom · 21/09/2020 13:07

We use disposable ones. Wear once and into the bin. We don't go out that much anyway, and shopping is delivered. I don't fancy used masks lurking in my house.

FrenchFancie · 21/09/2020 13:17

I have two small boxes on the counter in the utility - blue for clean masks, bright orange for worn ones. When there’s a few in the orange box I was them by hand and hang in the sunshine.
We have a shit heap of masks between us though....

HolyForkinShirt · 21/09/2020 13:19

One in car, a few screwed up in the bottom of my handbag, one in my kitchen drawer

Rockbird · 21/09/2020 13:50

I have a mesh washing bag on top of the cupboard in the dining room where used masks are collected to be washed. Then I have a basket in my bedroom that has little bottles of hand sanitiser and clean masks in. Also have a clean stash in the car.

I can't have the two lots near each other or they'll get mixed up.

justanotherneighinparadise · 21/09/2020 13:51

Screwed up in my glove box.

justanotherneighinparadise · 21/09/2020 13:52

@inappropriateraspberry

Why isn't everyone keeping them in bags? Kind of defeats the point if you're leaving them hanging around to get touched and breathed on!
Because many of us are wearing them because we’re legally required to and nothing more.
MeridaTheBold · 21/09/2020 13:56

Clean reuseable ones beside the radiator.
Packet of disposables in each car (just in case we forget).
I like the idea of hanging DCs ones on little clips in their room. I might steal that idea.

ekidmxcl · 21/09/2020 13:58

Clean masks stored in knicker drawer

Mask kept in car

vanillandhoney · 21/09/2020 14:03

In the centre console of my car, or stuffed in the back pocket of my jeans if I'm out.
