Tell me something positive that you are looking forward to Smile.

Short term, I am looking forward to going for a run after work, because we have been isolating since Saturday awaiting a covid-test result that came back negative.

Mid-term .... well, I'm looking for inspiration really. Need to find something!

Long term I am looking forward to next summer - I have this picture in my head of being able to go to the holiday cottage we usually rent without feeling like I would need to disinfect everything before touching it, hug my friend who lives nearby, walk along the beach, get an ice-cream or fish and chips without socially distanced queuing.

My next FWB meet, I'm a single parent and he's my bubble!

CatBatCat · 15/09/2020 14:35

Camping at the weekend in north wales. Weather looks more promising than it did last week!

MinnieMountain · 15/09/2020 17:18

Friends coming over with their DC this weekend.

DH and DS going away with the ILs next weekend. I've got Friday evening to Monday breakfast time to myself.

isseywith4vampirecats · 15/09/2020 19:10

Our holiday a week on saturday was supposed to be going to Naples was finally going to see Pompei booked it december 2019 then corona virus and lockdown happened got the jitters a few weeks ago and cancelled it, wales finally reopened so have booked a holiday cottage in snowdonia wont be the same but will still be a holiday in a pretty part of the UK

Frownette · 15/09/2020 19:40

Pizza and salad tonight. Very boring, yes!

SunniCameHomeWithAVengeance · 15/09/2020 19:51

Short term I'm looking forward to going home from work at 10pm. It's been a chaotic day.

Longer term in a few weeks I will be 9 years from retirement. Single figures. I'm very tired and truth be told I don't think my health will hold out for another 9 years.

bootygirl · 15/09/2020 21:02

Getting my hair coloured & cut on Friday, first time since March!!

Hope to visit a friend in next 2months. Having a night away with DH for our anniversary

OrigamiOwl · 15/09/2020 21:04

Hopefully moving house at the end of October!

2020cansuckit · 15/09/2020 21:06

Bake off starting again.

GinandGobbledegook · 15/09/2020 21:08

Short term... My anniversary weekend.

Long term... I have no clue. I'm struggling to think of anything. I love this time of year and usually have a jam packed diary and I'm really sad to not be doing any of it.
Actually, I am looking forward to a slower paced winter with lots of baking, watching films being cosy and getting my Christmas tree out.

GinandGobbledegook · 15/09/2020 21:08

Yes!!!! Bake off!! I had forgotten about that.

ItchyScratch · 15/09/2020 21:11

Short term: for this week to be over as it’s a very busy week of the month in my job!

Mid term: 2 day trip to London next month with my DH of which we haven’t been out together in over 3 years!!

Long term: to be able to book a holiday abroad when all of this is completely over. Not risking it until.

Echobelly · 15/09/2020 21:17

Short term - Jewish new year. Even though we're going to have to do the service via zoom.

Medium term - hopefully taking a day off and going to that electronic dance music exhibition at the Design Museum for my husband's birthday next month, assuming stuff is still open then

Long term - long holiday in my parents' second home in Eastern Europe next summer. I reckon come what may, trips there will be possible next summer - my brother managed it no problem this year - and Covid remains very controlled there as it's a quiet place where people don't move around much. Glad we went there last winter but I do miss it.

TheLastStarfighter · 16/09/2020 02:03

Awww, I’m loving reading these! Grin

And how did I forget about bake off? I may have found my “mid term”.

Bake off? When?!
Bachelorette. 😂

My life is a shambles lol. I genuinely can’t think of anything else. Fuck. 😂😂😂

BitOfFun · 16/09/2020 02:19

DH is clearing the backyard, which was full of DIY junk and weeds. He has cemented all the gaps, cut back the mad climbing plants, cleared the drains, and got halfway round painting the walls white. I'm looking forward to him finishing it and taking the rubbish to the tip.

I have a bed downstairs for when I'm too ill to climb the stairs, and he's going to paint a mural that I can see through the French windows, and set up a breakfast bar,

DameHannahRelf · 16/09/2020 02:25

Making the most of extra paid time off work, while DS is in school. I have so many things I can catch up on (DIY, books, sleep!).

Halloween, as it's my favourite holiday, and getting out the old ouija board again.

The nights rolling in earlier, bad weather and Autumn/Winter in general.

The results of my ancestry DNA test, should be ready in a month or two.

The 1921 census data being released next year (hopefully), should help with my family tree research.

The Winds Of Winter being released (God knows when that'll be though). I'm even looking forward to the release date, so I know when I can look forward to it. Fire and Blood part 2 (will probably be released before WoW).

House Of The Dragon (2022?). The new LOTR TV show (either 2021 or 2022 I think). The next Fantastic Beasts installment. A few other TV shows/movies.

MrsAvocet · 16/09/2020 02:30

I've got a physio appointment this week. A real, actual, face to face appointment. Its the first one I have had since March and I've been really struggling - phone appointments aren't much good for the problem I have. I'm ridiculously excited for what may well be quite an unpleasant half hour!

Mintjulia · 16/09/2020 02:45

Getting a new job

And then being able to blow some money on autumn clothes
Letting all that worry just float away Smile

Meeting up with a friend I've reconnected with online during lockdown but haven't seen for 17 years

Bl3ss3dm0m · 16/09/2020 06:07

My Covid 19 vaccination! Grin

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 16/09/2020 06:27

Right now, going to work and playing with very big toys.
Later, a session of Elite Dangerous.
Near future, our anniversary on the Isle of Wight. The only county of England I've never been to.

Pearsapiece · 16/09/2020 06:31

Strictly starting. Halloween and all the treats that go with it. Baking biscuits with ds. Ds starting a new nursery. Buying ds his coat for the winter. Seeing dc2 in my 20 weeks scan on Friday! Getting the call to go back to work from furlough

Mid term: Xmas while massivly pregnant. Feeling baby move a lot. Enjoying the run up to Xmas now we've cut down our list of who we are buying for so Xmas is leisurely affordable rather than a stretch.

Longer tern: meeting dc2 in jan/Feb, lots of skin to skin, hopeful breastfeeding. Taking ds1 to the park with dc2 in the buggy.

Not looking forward to the sleepless nights with a toddler to deal with the following day!!

Chanel05 · 16/09/2020 06:31

I'm 40+1... come on baby!

Bl3ss3dm0m · 16/09/2020 09:04

Hi Pearsapiece, your post has made me smile, and given me a lovely warm fuzzy feeling, so thank you for sharing SmileBearFlowers

Waxonwaxoff0 · 16/09/2020 09:08

This weekend. DS is at his dad's (we're divorced). Work has been crazy and I've had a horrible snotty cold this week so I feel crap. Cannot wait for a chilled weekend all to myself to rest.

Longer term - a holiday to the Bahamas in February although it probably won't happen. I'm holding onto hope though.
