This is a LOT of money for this area, and I have never heard of this estate agent before - but the PHOTOS!!!! - especially the one with the bed Hmm. And who would take photos of the loo with the seat up? I bet you can't find worse...

The photos are shocking

Bells3032 · 14/09/2020 16:30

These photos are terrible. they're of really random things rather than a room etc can't comment on price

kittenpeak · 14/09/2020 16:36

Don't know your area or agent, but agents where I am sometimes give the option to take your own photos, and then you pay a smaller fee. Obviously the photos will then be terrible! A lot of people I know took their own just after lockdown when agents were busy and photographers couldn't get round everyone. Sellers did it themselves. I personally wouldn't. Those photos are bad.

Lockdownseperation · 14/09/2020 16:36

The photos are awful so it’s difficult to tell. It has some visible damp issues and the duvet has a very dirty patch which would make me wonder what state the house is in. The porch roof looks like it may need need replacing. It definitely looks like has potential but it needs work.

Rainbowshine · 14/09/2020 16:37

It’s through one of those online estate agents so I’d hazard a guess the photos are done on the sellers phone or that the agent is very cheap because they are bad. The floor plan icon goes to a logo for the online agent rather than an actual floor plan. It’s got a Bristol postcode so I’m not surprised at the price given the description would appear that this is a 4 bed 4 receptions house.

Henio · 14/09/2020 16:39

This is my fave photo of them all, really sells it to me Grin

At first, I wondered what all the fuss was about. Then from number seven onwards! Some shots look like someone was trying to be arty. Others, just bizarre!

garlictwist · 14/09/2020 16:41

I've seen a lot worse for houses in my postcode. They are usually student houses or hmos. They don't even try to make them look nice.

Standrewsschool · 14/09/2020 16:42

I’ll raise you with this photo.

Rainbowshine · 14/09/2020 16:43

I think the price might reflect that it has a self contained annex so there’s potential earning capacity from that. But the photos are cringeworthy.

Bluebellbike · 14/09/2020 16:44

There is a beautiful 4 bed detached in the same area for sale at £430k. No way is the OP link worth more

chrislilleyswig · 14/09/2020 16:44

The house looks like it could be quite nice. But god the photos are awful

Xyzzzzz · 14/09/2020 16:47

I wouldn’t buy it, but the photos are terrible

AlwaysInAQ · 14/09/2020 16:49

What odd photos?!

spiderlight · 14/09/2020 16:57

Buy this house! It has bannisters! And a wall!

TheMamaYo · 14/09/2020 17:04

The house itself seems to have massive potential. Those photos though... What on earth were they thinking?

Maybe they don't really want to sell. Grin

Livedandlearned · 14/09/2020 17:09

I like the photo of the white door. It's a simple masterpiece.

HerNameWasEliza · 14/09/2020 17:09

Needs some work clearly and I'd be worried about how well they've maintained the house if they can't even manage to peel the sticker off a loo seat but if the price was low enough and the survey was OK I'd buy it. The photos are not why though!

Cocolapew · 14/09/2020 17:11

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 14/09/2020 17:12

The photos are shocking but that house has bags of potential. I would definitely go and see it.

secretrugbyfan · 14/09/2020 17:13

Perhaps the name of the Estate Agent (99Home) is related to the fee you pay them for listing your house.....hence the crappy pictures.

Hawkmoth · 14/09/2020 17:14

The label on the inside of the toilet lid has given me the horrors.

AntiHop · 14/09/2020 17:15

Wow those photos are ridiculous.

We took our own photos when we sold our flat but we put a huge amount of effort into them and they looked beautiful.

12309845653ghydrvj · 14/09/2020 17:17

I think the house is gorgeous, and the land really really gorgeous, provided you would be left with a huge cash sum to gut the kitchen, the bathrooms, the bedrooms and totally redo the interiors. I love a period house and a project, it would be my dream!

But price really needs to reflect the fact it needs A LOT of work!

12309845653ghydrvj · 14/09/2020 17:19

Looks like it doesn’t have an estate agent, it’s just a booking system?
