What bedroom posters did you have as a teen?

We're in the process of decorating upstairs at the moment and it brought back memories of my bedroom wall as a teen which was pretty much covered floor to ceiling. I used to cut out pics from Kerrang! of my fave artists just to make sure every available inch of space was used.
My absolute fave posters were a big black and white picture of Kurt Cobain who I thought was gorgeous (although sadly deceased by the time I was interested in Nirvana) and a poster of South Park which was huge in the late 90s. Who was on your wall as a teen?

All sorts of indie bands, Nirvana, the Doors. Smaller bands from Melody Maker.

I've always been an indie kid but was at prime poster putting-up age (11-15 or so) in that lull between britpop and garage bands like the Strokes (which I became big into but felt far too cool for posters, it was all ironic charity shop decor by then) so it wasn't the most current selection.

Out of interest, when did posters of pop stars and bands first become a thing, either for sale or free with magazines?

I had a huge concert size black and white Cure poster with Robert Smith staring out moodily at me. My late dad (bless him) drew a comedy moustache on him with Sharpie which I now think was bloody fabulous! Wasn’t so impressed at the time though!! 😂

Boyzone. Everywhere, even the ceiling (they would sometimes fall on me in the night!) Tiny stickers along the edges off my shelves. Obsessed.

Then some moody Lord of the Rings ones. I was a cool teen!

Westlife, s club 7, Aaron Carter, five, backstreet boys, spice girls. 😂

At one point in my youth it was Bay city Rollers
but as a teen it was The Professionals, John Travolta, probably BIlly Idol

I had Thierry Henry. I still would now!

Boyzone and the BSBs when I was a child and that transitioned into Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Tupac, Biggie and Dre as a teen 😂 Now if I could it would be the likes of Queen, Bon Jovi, Elvis etc and I'm 34.. Mad how your taste changes with age

I was a teenager back in the 1960’s, and had a huge crush on Mr Spock from Star Trek. I had a giant poster of him on the wall, which eventually got soggy from me kissing him goodnight, and had to be ditched!
I still fancy him 50 years later, and actually have another poster of him in my bedroom even now! (Sad, I know...)
