What bedroom posters did you have as a teen?

We're in the process of decorating upstairs at the moment and it brought back memories of my bedroom wall as a teen which was pretty much covered floor to ceiling. I used to cut out pics from Kerrang! of my fave artists just to make sure every available inch of space was used.
My absolute fave posters were a big black and white picture of Kurt Cobain who I thought was gorgeous (although sadly deceased by the time I was interested in Nirvana) and a poster of South Park which was huge in the late 90s. Who was on your wall as a teen?

Paul Weller, The Jam, Madness The Specials, Barry & Damon Grant from Brookside. I was always in to Mod clothes & music, still am now 40 years later.

I had walls dedicated to my three favourite bands -Duran Duran, Japan and Ultravox. Every inch covered wall to ceiling.

I also had a small area by my wardrobe that was my Liverpool FC wall. Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness were my fave players at that time.

I was an early 80s teen as you can tell Grin

pictures of motorbikes from magazines my dad gave me that I cut the naked women off of.

That must have been quite a painstaking task. Were they actually riding/astride the bikes or just draped across the top? Either way, very impressive redacting skills pre-Photoshop!

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 13/09/2020 12:40

Pretty sure they had a "sexual position of the week" page too

Yes, that's the one I was (coyly) alluding to Grin

miimblemomble · 13/09/2020 12:53

Kim Wilde, David Bowie and some amazonian chick driving a chariot attached to lots of big cats. Then A-Ha, Duran Duran. Showing my age here.

NickMarlow · 13/09/2020 13:00

Mine were from Shout magazine. Hanson, Paul Nicholls, Steps, Spice Girls....

Fannybawz · 13/09/2020 13:02

As a committed Doors fan, my room was a shine to Jim

JustSaying101 · 13/09/2020 13:44

Haha! Yep, More magazine was pretty filthy! After some essential Sunday research, I've found the page..."Position of the Fortnight" 🤣 Just to be clear that this did not grace my wall...

Eaumyword · 13/09/2020 14:44

Is it wrong that these days I'd just look at that position of the fortnight and think....thrush Confused

Deathraystare · 13/09/2020 14:58

A poster of Marc Bolan I may have had Donny Osmond too I really connot remember. As i got older I ripped pages out of Vogue magazine (the beauty pages). Pictures of lips and eyes.

When Dad showed buyers around the house, he always apologised when he got to my room

Jocasta2018 · 13/09/2020 15:02

Duran Duran - bought just after their first album so they were very New Romantic!

Holothane · 13/09/2020 15:06

I had no pictures in my bedroom I wasn’t allowed so I had a scrapbook of Roger Moore, seven years of paper cuttings I was made to get rid in in 1987, it broke me, I later got rid of all the dolls on shelf’s in my bedroom I’d had since 11 I hated my bedroom as a teen it looked so childish.

yummytummy · 13/09/2020 15:07

I had Madonna, Keanu Reeves, A-ha and also loads of Axl Rose in his prime. That dude has not aged well but Morten Harkett is still hot

27Yardsofdentalfloss · 13/09/2020 15:21

I was a teen in the 80s, and you literally could not see the wallpaper in my room, I had that many posters etc up. Most of them were pages cut out from Smash Hits, of pop groups like a-ha, Wham!, Curiosity killed the cat, and film stars such as Matt Dillon and Rob Lowe as well as the obligatory black and white Athena posters such as the guy with the baby, and "The Kiss" which every teenage girl seemed to have!

Thelnebriati · 13/09/2020 15:22

Not my choice - I had a crucifix and picture of Jesus holding a lamb, which was called The Lamb of God; and I remember the exact moment I twigged it was not a special lamb.

I had an Athena poster of a whale hanging on the knob of the wardrobe door and it fell off every time I squeezed past.

monkeytennis97 · 13/09/2020 15:24

John Taylor, Simon le Bon, Nick Rhodes, Thompson Twins, Ben from Curiosity

NotyouGuillermo · 13/09/2020 15:25

I had Foo Fighters on the back of my door, a huge Good Charlotte one and Sum41. Then loads of little posters or pictures cut out from Kerrang!- Rancid, Blink 182, Greenday and Brandon Boyd right next to my pillow BlushGrin

LadyCatStark · 13/09/2020 15:27
