What bedroom posters did you have as a teen?

We're in the process of decorating upstairs at the moment and it brought back memories of my bedroom wall as a teen which was pretty much covered floor to ceiling. I used to cut out pics from Kerrang! of my fave artists just to make sure every available inch of space was used.
My absolute fave posters were a big black and white picture of Kurt Cobain who I thought was gorgeous (although sadly deceased by the time I was interested in Nirvana) and a poster of South Park which was huge in the late 90s. Who was on your wall as a teen?

Extreme. Was a bit obsessed, especially with Gary Cherone. I only had them on the door as I wasn't allowed to ruin my wallpaper Grin

Michael Jackson 😬

Boris becker, James Dean. I had a lost boys poster too, watched that film constantly.

Do kids still decorate their rooms with posters now?

I had one of Adam Ant, but mostly A-ha, particularly Morten Harket!

I'm guessing it's more inspirational and life-affirming quotes now - could be wrong, though.

I just had a quick look online and was amazed to see that Athena still exists! They don't sell the Beefcake Holding A Baby or Tennis Player Scratching Her Arse designs any more, though.

Bros.

Then a seamless change to rave flyers, of which I still have in a record bag somewhere.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 12/09/2020 22:51

I wasn't allowed this kind of "infatuation".

badlydrawnbear · 12/09/2020 22:53

Kurt Cobain, Bon Jovi, the album cover of Electro Shock Blues by Eels, the album cover of Dookie by Greenday, Snoopy

Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Linkin Park, The Crow and Spike from Buffy. I'd still pick the same posters now 😂

Imissmoominmama · 12/09/2020 23:00

The younger me had Abba; the slightly older me had The Jam; the very old me has David Bowie and Paul Weller gig posters (but they’re framed now- not stuck up with blutack).

Yumyumicedbuns · 12/09/2020 23:00

Spandau Ballet

catnoir1 · 12/09/2020 23:01
