What bedroom posters did you have as a teen?

We're in the process of decorating upstairs at the moment and it brought back memories of my bedroom wall as a teen which was pretty much covered floor to ceiling. I used to cut out pics from Kerrang! of my fave artists just to make sure every available inch of space was used.
My absolute fave posters were a big black and white picture of Kurt Cobain who I thought was gorgeous (although sadly deceased by the time I was interested in Nirvana) and a poster of South Park which was huge in the late 90s. Who was on your wall as a teen?

This is Adam Perry and Stelios Havatzios in 2004 - both somewhat older than they were when the photo was taken in 1987!

Same as other posters:

  • black and white photographs such as the topless man and baby, or a couple dancing, or others by Herb Ritz (torso and tyres pic)
  • posters of take that
  • the stone roses
  • Peter Andre

What an eclectic mix! Still a massive SR fan tbf.

I’d forgotten all about the naked man with the baby. Thanks for the memories!

I had Gareth Gates in a cowboy costume. How embarrassing is that.

Bring me the horizon, motionless in white, black veil brides, steel panther, pierce the veil, Marilyn Monroe, I cut out a space raiders head and stuck it to my wall, some weird perfume add with a really attractive man on it and many more... When we moved house at 16 I took my posters down, more so a wall collage and I still have them saved in a box

It's good to see so many others shared my love of posters. Keep them coming!

I had a huge George Michael poster, him in a leather jacket 🤤
Loved the mizz magazine.

evilharpy · 13/09/2020 07:04

I had Phillip Schofield in his Broom Cupboard/Going Live days. I have repented. After that it would have been mainly Guns n Roses.

RedRiverShore · 13/09/2020 07:17

Pete Duel and Ben Murphy, Marc Bolan, Alice Cooper

I was about twelve and just liked the photo. God knows what my mum thought.

Wtfdidwedo · 13/09/2020 07:33

I had a big A1 poster on the back of my door, and Aragorn on the front. And I used to cut out random pictures from Bliss and CosmoGirl depending on who I fancied at the time Grin

theviewfromhalfwaydown · 13/09/2020 08:08

South Park and pictures of motorbikes from magazines my dad gave me that I cut the naked women off of.

CaffeineInfusion · 13/09/2020 08:08

Looking back, I think we just had the entire contents of Smash Hits blue tacked on any available space😂. Early 80's.. And we had a stack of cassette recordings, each weeks radio 1 top 40 count down.. Life was good. I think it's a shame that its not recreated for kids today. The Internet and YouTube is no substitute😁

TrickyD · 13/09/2020 08:17

Khajit · 13/09/2020 09:21

I had loads of nirvana and Kurt Cobain ones!

JustSaying101 · 13/09/2020 09:28

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll

Also used to get More Magazine, anyone else remember that? There used to be a bloke of the week poster that would always end up on my wall

Wasn't that the one that had the other regular 'of the week' item, featuring another bloke and a woman as well, being very, erm, friendly with each other....?! Very mucky for its time!

Probably, it wouldn't surprise me! Pretty sure they had a "sexual position of the week" page too 😂
