'The happy Place Cafe' AKA the cafe is open thread 3

Morning all.

For the regulars, you know the routine, for anyone new -

Welcome to the Happy Place virtual cafe. The cafe is open every morning for breakfast, there are a number of different seats / tables including some wing back chairs to either side of a log fire.

Dogs and children are welcome although be warned they are sometimes whisked away to see the kitchen.

In the garden there is a sensory area, a cat area with catnip bush, a water feature (feel free to cool your feet) and an area for the kitten bees (tiny kittens, the size of a bee but with wings and the ability to sprout an umbrella from their tails).

Florence is a French pastry Chef who makes the most wonderful bread, cakes and pastries.

Fernando is a cocktail waiter who is also in charge of the huge posh Italian coffee machine.

If you don't like the menu then feel free to cook for yourself or ask one of the regulars.

It's due to be our last warm day here, so I think I'll walk home from work along the river.

Oh god @Frownette that sounds awful. Hopefully you being able to keep something down this morning is the beginning of you getting better 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'm quite happy it's clearing, to be honest! It was only a few days. Now I need to get some strength back and clean up my bedroom...

Anyway I don't want to put anyone off their breakfast, thank you all.

It's our last nice day apparently then the autumn/winter weather hits. It's a glorious morning so hopefully it will last.

I am glad you are feeling a bit better @Frownette , drink some, but go easy on the fruit juice all that acid wont do your tender stomach much good I agree with @sashh , when ever I am feeling a bit off I boil about a inch of chopped fresh ginger in a pint or so of water for 15 mins and sip the cooled water and nibble on the ginger throughout the day .
Bubble and squeak is a bit heavy for breakfast for me , but some hash browns and beans would go down well.
Please can I have a pack up for lunch later @sashh

I am reliably informed that guava and tequila drank as a shot make a interesting fall down quick cocktail you have been warned . . . . .

them cheeky kitten bees are god at sneaking into places they should not be , i had to shoo two out of the kitchen yesterday evening

Morning all.

Can I remind everyone this is a happy place and we should not be speciesist about the mythical creatures who may or may not visit the café even if we have had personal interactions that were not ideal (Pixie Pox is not fun).

Right on to breakfast.

It looks like a nice day so Federico and Florence are in the garden firing up the BBQ and Hibachi grill that apeared over night, Florence said something about a ninja but, well really a ninja i the Happy Place?

The BBQ has a placher so friend eggs are not a problem to go with the sausages, bacon, steak, more sausages, chicken etc.

Fresh fruit juice is available and I'll send Federico inside to make hot drinks every so often.

Anyone wanting a packing up just pick what you want from the BBQ.

It's raining here I hope it did not follow me . . . .

I was pursing 'site stuff ' last night and came across this

So I thought I would spread the word just in case you did not know about it 😎 we can now have all this on the bbq >> 🍗🌭🍖🍔

There is a little rain, don't worry Florence has persuaded the kitten bees to hold a waterproof table cloth over the BBQ, they have their own umbrellas sprouted from their tails so are quite dry but will need some rest later.

I hope the kittenbees did not have to work to hard , I will make sure they have got a nice cosy fire to sleep by tonight

Well it's a wintery day here so I'm going to take inspiration from Scotland, they know how to deal with breakfast on a cold morning.

So porridge with various toppings including salt, kippers, cooked breakfast with square sausage a choice of black or white pudding and an option for haggis.

Packing p - kippers in a flask with butter and some short bread for after.

Porridge and honey is just right for today.

I'm going to fuss the kitten bees for a bit. My cat has taken against me as I washed her blankets after she was sick on them.

I've got an easy day at work today.

What's everyone else up to?

I've set up the kittenbee inside space, it's an old fish tank with a warm blanket on the base and a heat lamp (not turned on yet) with lots of places to sleep and rest, food and water and of course kittenbee toys

It's such a miserable rainy day today. I think I'm going to play with the kitten bees.
IRL I think I may need to pop the beating on for an hour! 🙊

Heating not beating! Flippin Eck!

Just a cuppa for me please. It's so cold and I'm feeling very sad so I need some comfort. I too shall be playing with the kittebees.
