My asthmatic cat woke me having a coughing fit on the landing. Once awake, its usually 2 hours before I'm sleepy. A while to go...

I won’t be going back to sleep. Once I’m awake that’s that.

TheFormerPorpentinaScamander · 10/09/2020 04:28

I accidentally took my sleeping tablet with my morning meds yesterday and then slept all day. So then I wasn't tired at bedtime and couldn't take another sleeping tablet as I'm at maximum daily dose. Annoyingly they don't always make me sleep when I take them at night, but the 2 times I've taken themin the day by mistake they've knocked me out Hmm

Horses4 · 10/09/2020 04:29

My big cat demands to get into my room at 4am like clockwork. Normally she yells in my face for a bit but not tonight. Takes a while for me to be asleep though. She has vet this morning for booster injections so she will be a grump later.

Because I'm in a mad panic spiral about everything and I'm plotting how to run away from my life

Nothing is wrong
There is nothing worse than being in your own head at this time of night. Its never the truth.

I get that sometimes :)

Just woke up 4am approx and haven't got back to sleep as yet. It's been a bit of a weird week as friend visited Monday and we went to a pub at lunchtime (novel experience; I haven't been to a pub in 3 years and thinking it was strange not having to put a face mask on).

@Horses4 cat sounds cool.
Happylittlethoughts · 10/09/2020 04:43

Though I have had many dark days when I imagined leaving with a suitcase."Glasgow Central" days I call them.
I wasn't dismissing your worries as untrue, I was just meaning things seem worse at this hour . Hope you can plan if you need to

Oh yeah there's an Andrew Lloyd Webber song another suitcase in another hall.

Things are always better in the morning.

Because my bloody partner has to go to the toilet in the middle of every bloody night! Currently thinking of asking him to move out so I can send me sleep. Every fucking night! Often more than once. I've never met a man who pees so much.

If I nap at all I'm done for as far as night sleep goes too

Thought I heard people talking and assumed it must be morning. And now I've probably started my day. I've been awake from 5am the past two days

Happylittlethoughts · 10/09/2020 04:47

Insane
Do you get up? Or stay in bed til family are waking up?

Mrsmorton · 10/09/2020 04:48

Haven't yet been to sleep. Thinking about my ex.

NigellaAwesome · 10/09/2020 04:49

Because of work stress
Peri menopause
Had a row with DH earlier and angry and upset
Been awake since 2.30

What do you think about your ex?
HeronLanyon · 10/09/2020 04:50

Extreme work stress on top of all other current chaos and uncertainty !
Just when i need a clear calm approach good sleep and diet etc all seems to have slipped away.
Sitting here with a coffee trying to have a gentle but firm word with myself but I appear not to be listening very well !
Wish I could get in with something mindless like cleaning for a bit (Necessary) but my neighbours wouldn’t thank me for clattering around at this hour.
Support all. New day a new dawn.

tearinyourhand · 10/09/2020 04:51

I'm in pain and it keeps waking me up.

NothingIsWrong · 10/09/2020 04:53

Extreme work stress here as well. I'm so strung out I'd probably ping if you flicked me.

My head is like a washing machine on spin.

Happylittlethoughts · 10/09/2020 04:58

Sounds like a hard night for some of you ❣
Peeing is also more trivial but infuriating theme!
On the running away from your life theme ..do you think there are people on here who gave packed an impossibly small case (movies) and stepped out of their lifes...I wonder

OP posts:
Happylittlethoughts · 10/09/2020 05:01

Work is stressful too, I wonder if it's my post covid coping skills ... or a change in everyone's attitude that ramps everything up!

I went to the beach this afternoon and my old dog was chewing seaweed. She’s still v thirsty and woke me up for another pee!

Clymene · 10/09/2020 05:03
