where do you get your towels?

packing for a holiday recently revealed that our bath sheets are both too few and too shabby. Job for today is to replace. Is it worth spending £££ or is there no difference with Primark or the supermaerkets?

I find that the supermarket "luxury" towels stay thicker and softer for longer. From time to time you can get certain colours at reduced prices.

GreyishDays · 06/09/2020 14:51

We get sale Christie ones usually and they are noticeably thicker than the odd supermarket ones we’ve bought.

Dowser · 06/09/2020 14:59

Primark I find are excellent
IKEA also good

I have had Dunelm towels for over 10 years and they are only now starting to look shabby. Sainsbury's ones are washing well and so far are pretty good.

LovingLola · 06/09/2020 15:12

Marks and Spencer’s quick dry towels are great.

Garby · 06/09/2020 15:16

Brandalley have got some good discounts on Christie towels at the moment (or did when I bought some last week at least)

LadyPenelope68 · 06/09/2020 15:18

I’ve had very, very expensive towels in the past, but to be honest, the nicest ones I’ve found for texture and size (huge bath sheets) is Asda. Great range if colours as well!

crosser62 · 06/09/2020 15:30

Bought a bundle from next a couple of weeks ago, absolute shite. Thin, small, crap.
But I bought some from the range and from B&Ms and they are amazing, wash well, thick, fluffy, lovely and not at all expensive.

AdaFromYorkshire · 06/09/2020 15:32

Sainsburys.

DustyMaiden · 06/09/2020 15:32

Christie or Ralph Lauren from TK Maxx

Celticdawn5 · 06/09/2020 15:33

LandsEnd in the sale

RustyLeesBogBrush · 06/09/2020 15:33

Ikea, great prices for what you get and I find the towels always stand the test of time.

My husband did a bunch of research on this recently (haha) and found that the Tesco ‘luxury’ range are really well rated. We got those and they are v nice.

nitgel · 06/09/2020 15:34

Fir holidays I get the thinner sports towels from sports direct as they dry fast and are light

SparklyBookcase · 06/09/2020 15:36

I bought some from Tesco - Fox & Ivy (I think) - they’re excellent, very thick.

PickAChew · 06/09/2020 15:36

I've had some nice ones from Sainsburys. Most of my current sets are from John Lewis.

I bought some towels from tk maxx a couple of years ago. They were weird sizes and one of them came undone and fell apart, after a few months. Not impressed.

Trufflepuffpuff · 06/09/2020 15:38

Christie from TK Maxx

zeddybrek · 06/09/2020 15:40

Another one for superman towels. Still going strong 7 years on.

Noidea2114 · 06/09/2020 15:40

I second B&M lovely towels and colours.

BadEyeBri · 06/09/2020 15:43

Musbury - Supersoft bath sheets are gorgeous.

Zenithbear · 06/09/2020 20:30

Christie in the sale. They stay really soft when they've dried.
