Yes *@FlouncingBabooshka* it was ELO Sorry to hear you’re still having stress with the house. What’s happening? I can’t remember what you said before, but I had a friend that had been through similar, I think.
Sorry - didn’t manage to get on to the thread at all the last day or two.

(Very)long story short, leaking waste pipe for goodness knows how long so every time the washing machine or dishwasher emptied or I used the sink all the water was discharging under the house instead of into the drain. Knew nothing about this until the sitting room floor gave way (I fell into the hole). Things have developed a bit now as the floor has been tested and contains asbestos (it’s in an extension that was added in the 70s - they loved a bit of asbestos back then...) so now we’re waiting to hear when the spacemen are coming in to remove it. Kitchen floor will also have to come up and the kitchen has to be removed to locate and fix the pipe. Then the house has to dry out before we can replace the floors/kitchen units. I’ve lost track of how long I’ve been washing up in the bathroom (three weeks?) and we haven’t even started to get things put right yet. I feel like civilisation has broken down quite quickly...

That sounds horrendous and bloody expensive.

Is there anywhere you can go and stay? Not v easy in a pandemic, I guess. Poor you 😞
