I always liked Matthew and Son as a child. Weirdly, I never paid much attention to the lyrics and just went with the general feel of the song. I thought it was a jolly little ditty about a man and his little boy. It was only a few years ago I actually listened to it and was quite taken aback to find it’s about a horrible, exploitative employer!

I didn’t know that @FlouncingBabooshka, I must go and listen to it.
