Anyone up to much? I’ve had a week off & it was so nice not to have to rush about getting ready for work this morning. DH is off too so we had a cuppa & a figroll in bed then I popped into town to exchange a base layer for DD & did an Asda shop. Didn’t need much but ended up spending over £50. DD has just made up a gluten free brownie mix & oh boy they smell amazing! Not much planned for this aft but may sort out my clothes & do another charity shop run. I have had a pile ready to try on all summer. A lot of it probably won’t fit as I’ve piled on weight what with lockdown & lots of wine 😢Looking forward to BGT tonight, including a set from Diversity. Think Ashley Banjo will be a good addition to the judges desk.

6 year old is playing with Lego while watching Recess on Disney+ and I am about to make a brookie (half brownie, half cookie) with the 4 year old. We’ll be having a chippy for dinner and watch a movie (no idea what yet) once the kids have gone to bed. DH and I are hoping to get a night away from the kids next month, our birthdays are ten days apart so it’s a bit of a tradition though we’re both a bit hesitant about going, but will have a look for a nice hotel and maybe book something if we get a good deal.

Been and done shopping, had lunch and other half is doing the dishes while we listen to Absolute 80's, sounds boring but it's a perfect lull after a tough week and the 'back to school' organisation that tomorrow will bring

DH is at work. DD is playing Barbies while I soak in bath. Maybe some tidying and sorting later before I head to work for 13 hours 7pm-8am...

Walked dog with DD and then exercised. Cleaned house, dropped DD at her DF. Came home and spent an hour sorting clothes, showered. Now sat with DDog having had a bite to eat and enjoying the peace. Aldi shop for grazing nosh shortly, DFriend is coming for the night. We're going out out!!! Well, to the village pub.

No-one here is doing anything exciting.

I have a horrible cold, so I'm lying on the settee watching Friends trying to ignore the mess on the carpet - duplo, peppa pigs, jigsaw pieces etc. Feel a bit sorry for myself.
Dh is in the kitchen making my lunch and sorting lunch for the kids. Hoping he will get the kids to tidy up and then take them out for many, many quiet hours.

DH has gone to a hardware shop
DS1 is at work
DS2 hasn't got out of bed yet
I've done some laundry and now having a coffee and trying to muster some enthusiasm to do some cleaning

I’m off to my dads for a coffee with dh in a minute

I have the house to myself, and have had for a week now. Mr Multivac and the teens will be back tomorrow, and I'm really looking forward to that. Meanwhile, today I've had a lie-in and several cups of tea; our bedding is washed and drying on the line; I've harvested some tomatoes from the garden and eaten one of them with a boiled egg on seedy bread; and Andy Zaltzman made a magnificent debut as News Quiz host.

So, not a bad day so far. Off to watch a live Shakespeare performance shortly! Just Pyramus and Thisbe, in someone's garden, with very limited audience... but still... LIVE SHAKESPEARE!

It’s my due date today so I’ve been for a looonnnngggg dog walk up the hills with my mom this morning to try and get baby moving - nothing so far. DP and DS stayed home and played minecraft.

Me and the dog are now chilling on the sofa while DP has gone to get us some lunch and DS has gone to my moms for a bit.

This afternoon DP is doing some work on the shed and my brother is popping over with mom and DS as we moved house a few weeks ago and he’s not seen it yet. I need to wash and iron the school uniform and finish some sewing.

DH is at work 9-7pm so just me and the kids. We had a lie in then pottered about.
Kids are loving their extended screen time now it's the weekend.
Will do some school work with them later, doing bits and pieces at home to supplement school.
Something out of the freezer for the kids' Saturday tea, then I'll watch the tennis while I wait for dh to come home then we'll have a picky tea.

Just got back from a mini holiday and I've got a hideous headache from two nights of bad sleep. Managed a quick nap when DS had his but it's still sore... So DH is currently doing Play Doh with the kids and I'm upstairs "unpacking" (AKA sitting on the bed on MN for ten minutes).

DD goes back to school on Monday so tomorrow we'll be getting ready for that. Going to be so weird without her!

Just had some lunch and lying on the sofa, feeling exhausted. Heading to see my DSis as it’s my nephews 1st birthday today . It feels bittersweet trying to celebrate as our lovely Granny passed away last night and she should have been here celebrating with us. Lots of emotions in this house today

Menfolk have just returned from a small food shopping trip, as they want to do a bbq, on the dreaded fire pit, which in my opinion is a waste of time and food .
Food tastes of engine oil despite several cleanings,

DH is mowing the lawn and DDog is supervising. I’m sitting in the kitchen MNetting and monitor the pans have got meat sauce for lasagne simmering to have with friends tonight & board games. And also using up the last of the rhubarb to make a crumble for my DDad

8am, trying not to get up. I can hear H, he’s been to the supermarket for some picnic things and is making lunch. We’re going to the beach today. This is very unusual, he doesn’t usually suggest things or put any effort into the prepping of a day out. He senses I am fed up, as I’ve told him many many times

DDs have just got dressed. I came downstairs because DD2 started shouting at me for suggesting she brushed her hair. I can hear them laughing now though. I am brushing my hair and hiding from DDs. Cats are sleeping. One is sleeping behind a door which means we can't open it properly. DH has gone away for the weekend to participate in a hobby. I am hoping to persuade DDs out soon to the park to ride bike/ scooter.

The house is empty except me. DH has taken DDs camping and kayaking.
Unfortunately in struggling to find the motivation to do the Post Lockdown Clean Up.

DH was up before me this morning and had gone to the shop for some breakfast goodies.I came down to the smell of fresh coffee and croissants and pastries .Yum.
DH then went for a cycle while I did a quick tidy up of the house.
Just finished lunch then we'll go and play some tennis later on this afternoon.
We'll probably watch a film this evening with a few snacks and a glass of wine.

Have taken DS to cricket then played games with DD. Now off for a walk while listening to the News Quiz..thanks to a PP for mentioning that!

Busy morning, after 2 weeks nonstop work after a holiday, with no time for life admin. So have booked chimney sweep, washed bedding, booked in clothes repairs, sorted DS's outgrown clothes for charity or to sell on e bay, sewed on name tapes, tidied house. Feeling accomplished . Now looking forward to first child-free night with DH since February! Sadly FIL went into a care home for assessment yesterday after a period in hospital, which has put a dampener on the weekend as we still can't see him & feel sad & powerless about the situation. Tough times for many at the moment,
