Sept 7th

Each year group in for one day next week to be familiarised with new systems, then all back on Monday 7th.

I think it will be great for them to see their friends again.

I see the 'millions will die/second wave' brigade have gone quiet for a bit - Scottish schools have been open for weeks and despite the odd outbreak millions of Scottish people have not been struck down and hospitals in Scotland are not overrun....

I think it will be great for them to see their friends again.

I said that to my dc and they went Confused "I can already see my friends- I'd much rather see them at the park than at school!" Mine have no desire to go back whatsoever.

My yr11 is very keen to not be stuck at home learning, although does see his friends.

Y6 more on the fence as enjoys home and no exam stress but it will be good for him to be back.

Y7: 4th of September and Y9: 8th of September (half day on the 7th), both at the same school.

Y11: They're reopening fully on the 13th. DS was a part-time student before COVID and still will be, and his schedule has him back on the 14th.

8.40am next Wed 2 Sept. Hoo-bloody-rah.

Y9 girl here - Thursday, 4th is a short day as they let the new Y7 for an hour alone each year to find their way. From Friday we ar business as usual.

Sept 4, but mine is not going in. We will have to quarantine and then one us will have symptoms.
School has done jack about this whole thing apart from adhering minimally to gov guidelines which is equal to a broken facade.
And my ds (15) doesn't want to go back either. He chats with his friends daily, got on with schoolwork/study better online and got a lot more other studying done as he was home, had access to the guitar, drumkit....
We'll see what's going to happen by mid-October and decide on the next steps.

They have been since August 12th. It's been fine. She's noticeably happier in herself. More friends, more exercise, more using her brain.

Whole school (large primary) back full time from next Wednesday 🎉🎉

RhinestoneCowgirl · 28/08/2020 17:35

Y7 DD is back full time from Thursday 3 September, Y10 DS has a two hour 'induction' on Friday afternoon, then full time from Monday 7 September.

They are both very much looking forward to being back at school.

Sirzy · 28/08/2020 17:36

Whole primary school going back next Wednesday. Very much needed. Ds was in the shielding group but I am still as confident as I can be about him going back

yawnsvillex · 28/08/2020 17:37

4 Sep 08:15, full day, full curriculum.

spiderlight · 28/08/2020 18:06

9th September. Going into Y9. It's a staggered start from 2nd September onwards, and Y9 are the last in, much to DS's delight.
