How many website windows do you have open on your phone browser right now?

I don't know if my usual 40 is excessive...

None. There are 4 open on my tablet, which is a lot for me.
The mind boggles at you all with so many open, i can't understand why people wouldnt close them?!

How do you bookmark?

In Chrome, go to three dots at the top right, then press on the star. To find your bookmarks, click on top three dots and click "bookmarks." You can tidy those up periodically, too: it's allowed!

(Can't remember how you do it on Safari. Not had an Apple product for yonks.)

Seriously, though, you must be massively slowing down your speed of your device. Same with having lots of apps open.

I just always use search when I need to find one. also have 10000s of unread ones!

36, which is a bit low for me to be honest.

For personal, stuff like: home admin/car/shopping/receipts/personal correspondence.

For work: a lot more, obviously tailored to the job.

I made ds "folderise" his documents on his laptop recently. He had his Uni work for submission and research beautifully organised, but not other docs. I made him have as a minimum "life admin" and "uni admin"

Mine mainly come from clicking links, it just opens a new browser window and you forget the first one is open, and they gradually build up. You can't see from the main phone browser screen that you have more than one open.

As for it reducing performance well it doesn't seem to. I used to do that thing of shutting all my apps too but apparently its better to leave them open as they are ready to go and faster.

I'm a bit half hearted about folders for email too, it's just as easy to find them by searching.

22. It’s effectively my personal to-do list. I have various bookmarks for things I like to visit regularly, but the open windows are for various products I’m researching, gifts I’m considering, high schools I’m looking at for ds1.

I've had a few more apps in use than normal in the last few months, like the Zoe Covid app, using Instagram more, a couple of others and I have found my phone gets really hot if they're not closed down and the battery use. If I close dien regularly, back to two days' battery use and no hot phone.

How do you find the number? I occasionally click something that wants to delete them all, & that tells me how many there (always 3 figures ), but I don’t know how to find out on purpose.

Just this one - I don't know how to open more than one at a time on my phone!

. . If you've got an iPhone go to your browser, hold down the double square icon at the bottom right and it will tell bring up the options below. I currently have 423 🙈

On Chrome you can also click the square with the number of tabs at the top and then click the + sign on the left.

Mumsnet and a website for a gift I need to buy once I’ve been paid. Usually just have this open though and always close a page once I’ve finished with it.

I don’t have any unread emails either. They’re either deleted or filed.

I have an iPhone and it uses safari but I do shut down pages pretty much as soon as I've viewed them.
