Was thinking about this today.

Some just grate.

My most memorable and favourite is the late Michael Winner when he did the Littlejohn show. (Showing my age). I thought he'd come out and be just as vile.

For anyone who missed it, here's the link

What's yours?

I still giggle when thinking about Rylan's full blown snotty breakdown all over that expensive-looking hotel sofa when he heard he was going to the live shows. It. Was. Awesome!

Joe Wickes. Wrote him off as an irritant with bad hair and worse cookbooks. However since my DC did his lockdown PE classes I can see that he's genuinely passionate about improving people's health and fitness. I know he has no doubt made a few bob through increased advertising/higher profile, but I don't begrudge him that.

theturnofthescrew Joe Wickes had a really difficult childhood. I think he's an absolutely wonderful role model for young kids for so many reasons.

And all the money from his PE with Joe YouTube workouts was given to NHS/charity.

@GisAFag

I don't get Ricky Gervais, that grin, over the top laugh on An Idiot Abroad.. I love Karl.
I can't bear Ricky Gervais. I'm.not a fan of The Office as it makes me want to turn myself inside out with cringe, but it was Idiot Abroad that nailed it for me. He just seemed to be a constant dick for the sake of it. So many of these posts about him though. What am I missing?

Rylan. He was interviewed on R4 and seemed lovely, very and articulate and clever.

Stephen Manderson was also interviewed on R4 and he also came across well, was very quietly spoken but seemed like a nice guy.

Ed Sheeran seemed to be really down to earth and is apparently very generous to his staff.

Frankie Gaffe (MIC) went up in my estimation when I saw she had donated to someone running for a charity (for a condition that a close family member suffers with), she also encouraged others sponsor the guy who was running. I thought that was pretty cool of her.

I'd really like to like Ricky Gervais, due to his support for animal rights, but I just can't get past how irritating he is.

@Costacoffeeplease

I know someone who worked for Michael Portillo when he was still an MP, and although they weren’t particularly thrilled about it, really liked him once they met. He kept in touch for quite a while too

I couldn’t stand Michael Ball when he was younger but I’ve grown to like him now. He seems to have calmed down a bit

My father in law was an MP and when he lost his seat, Michael Portillo was the only MP who wrote to him expressing how sorry he was. No such thing as a nice Tory but Portillo came close Grin

Yes Michael is completely different to his persona. My friend was quite sorry to have to stop working for him
