I managed to get some Morrisons own brand Worcestershire sauce a couple of weeks ago. I'd almost given up!

I've not had too many problems with anything else. Well not for the last couple of months anyway.

W00t · 25/08/2020 14:31

Yes! It has been out of stock at our Sainsbury's for several months, even own brand.

Bluesheep8 · 25/08/2020 14:53

Try Henderson's Relish if you can't get Worcester Sauce. It's pretty much the same if slightly less piquant.
Also, it's vegetarian, could even be vegan? As it doesn't contain anchovy like Worcester sauce does.

Oh wow, I was just about to start a thread asking where it had gone!

Henderson’s is vegan, but a bugger to get hold of outside Sheffield. I found some in a naice farm shop near me and got three bottles.

Ooh did not know Lidl did a version! Before I ate fish I used to get mushroom ketchup which is a veggie/may even be vegan version but I couldn't even fin d that!

Very chuffed now with my bottle!

Did you check on Amazon? They've even got gluten free worcester sauce, which is marvellous. . .

NanTheWiser · 25/08/2020 15:21

I can’t seem to be able to get Maille brand tartare sauce anywhere at the moment. Even Waitrose hasn’t had any in stock, which unusual for them. No other brands compare.

Bluesheep8 · 25/08/2020 15:40

flamingoandjohn I've never had any trouble getting hold of Hendersons in West Yorks

Oldraver · 25/08/2020 16:17

You could try Oxford sauce instead

JaneJeffer · 25/08/2020 16:22

I had problems getting it but I'm in Ireland and thought it might be a Brexit thing. I found some Tesco own brand which wasn't great but Lea&Perrins is back in stock now. Yay!

JaneJeffer · 25/08/2020 16:23

Also Robinson's barley water disappeared for a while but back now too.

LoveLastMinutesAndLostEvenings · 25/08/2020 16:28

Yes, I noticed it missing a few months back. I managed to get a small bottle in Asda the other day. I haven't seen it anywhere else. I wonder why?

It’s practically unheard of outside Yorkshire.
SilkCashmere · 25/08/2020 16:30

I have struggled to get it for ages, I found brand and Tesco version a few days ago.

Breathmiller · 25/08/2020 16:34

I can't get cumin anywhere. Oh the horror!

And halfway through lockdown DH came in delighted with himself because he had gone foraging and finally found some tahini.

SilkCashmere · 25/08/2020 16:47

I visited several shops last week, all were low on spice.

WwMILd · 25/08/2020 16:49

Green Giant tinned sweetcorn is another thing.

8thArmouredBrigade · 25/08/2020 16:54

I got some Lea & Perrins from Morrison’s last week, they had plenty of stock. During lockdown I bought Sainsbury’s own version - not the same as L&P but okay.
I recently struggled to get Bearnaise sauce. I’ve now tracked some down, but think it must be out of fashion as most supermarkets near me don’t stock it - even Ocado didn’t have any.

Bluesheep8 · 25/08/2020 17:06

Is it? I didn't know that. I always used to buy it when I lived in both East Midlands and Staffordshire if there wasn't any Worcester sauce

Bluesheep8 · 25/08/2020 17:07

Oh and Aldi Worcester Sauce is good too

mrsrhodgilbert · 25/08/2020 17:11

Maille seem to have reduced their range, I email them as I couldn’t get hold of one of my favourites. The sauces seem to have gone

greyhoundexplorer · 25/08/2020 17:13

DH has been missing his Frosties, we've only managed to get them in the last week or so, all year!

Crosswithlifeatm · 25/08/2020 17:14

I've found a shop in Herefordshire that sells Henderson's relish. So when I've worked my way through my 3 bottles I'll know where to go..They also sold a vegan Worcester style sauce so I'm trying that but so far prefer Hendersons.Pontak sauce and mushroom ketchup are also good for that savoury taste.
I also found meat free beef oxo cubes!
