Sorry I'm sure this will be completely unnecessary... But my dp popped to the shops a couple of hours ago and still isn't home. I've just got this sick feeling in the out of my stomach and it's too late to call or worry anyone IRL.

I'm sure there are plenty of perfectly reasonable reasons for him being so late. But the shop he was supposed to go to is only 15 mins away. I could cry, I keep flipping between being sure everything's fine and he's just run into someone and imagining the worst :(

Assuming he's got his wallet on him with ID, in the unlikely event he's in hospital you'd have been notified. That's how I get through the worry when my eldest is out and about at night.

PointlessUsername · 24/08/2020 23:56

If it is very unlike DH i would contact the police and see what they suggest. Hopefully could put your mind at ease a little knowing they have been informed.

I have read lots of these threads that turned out okay in the end Flowers

He's HOME. He was harassed by a group of lads, they started by asking him for a cigarette and then we're basically trying to mug him :( he is a big guy but was on his own, no phone no car. He had to walk under an underpass to get home so jumped on a bus and got stuck as it's late. I'm so relieved. I was literally going to call police at midnight.. Thank you all so much for your support it has really helped FlowersFlowers

Honestly OP I'd be ringing 101 now as a first port of call then phoning around the hospitals. I can't imagine what you're going through, I'd be sick with sorry too.

Fingers crossed he's home soon and just got talking to someone he knew.

RandomMess · 24/08/2020 23:58

So pleased he is home!

Ihaventgottimeforthis · 24/08/2020 23:59

Very relieved for you OP, I hate these scary situations.

UncleBunclesHouse · 24/08/2020 23:59

Thank goodness

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 24/08/2020 23:59

Do you have Facebook? You could post and ask if anyone has seen him.

EveryPlanetHasAYorkshire · 24/08/2020 23:59

Never mind x post.

Glad he's home.

Letmegetthisrightasawoman · 25/08/2020 00:00

Oof, poor guy, that does not sound nice! Glad you've got him back and it wasn't anything more serious though! Sleep wellSmile

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 25/08/2020 00:00

I think most likely scenario is someone else is hurt and he is helping them. Old lady fallen over and waiting for an ambulance scenario

If it were him I would have thought you would most likely know by now, but to put your mind at rest Id give the local hospital a call.

If theres anyone you can call I would, get them to drive the route. I know you never want to call on people like this but no one is going to mind. If theres no one id call 101 and see what they can do

DishRanAwayWithTheSpoon · 25/08/2020 00:01

Oh cross posted. Glad hes home!

IAmFleshIAmBone · 25/08/2020 00:01

Exploring · 25/08/2020 00:05

Glad he's back that sounds scary, will he report it? There seems to be more of that kind of stuff being mentioned lately on the @tvp_mk twitter

CloudyVanilla · 25/08/2020 00:07

@Exploring really? I definitely think we should report it as it's not okay and also there are plenty of older people around where we live. Fuckers Angry

MrsOldma · 25/08/2020 00:10

Definitely report it! And agree between the two of you that you always take a phone, agree a time you’ll be back and will call/text if running late. If you are later than agreed time then no judgment for panicking and calling police!

Glad he’s safe

GisAFag · 25/08/2020 00:10

Bless him so glad he's home. Give him a massive hug.

Hepcat75 · 25/08/2020 00:31

Poor bloke! V glad he's home. Definitely report it.

Justaboy · 25/08/2020 00:52

Well glad for you that had a good outcome, but I think you would have been well justified in calling up Old Bill and reporting him missing they'd have more capacity to find him that most anyone else.

Well sleep well:)

Nite!..

itsgettingweird · 25/08/2020 07:45

Oh blimey.

What a night for you both.

Hope you get supported when you report Thanks

MJMG2015 · 25/08/2020 08:55

I'm glad he got home.

What horrible lads, I wish he'd reported them when he got home. Little bastards.
