Is it possible to lose 5 kilos in 4 weeks? My wedding dress has a faux-button zip back and it won't sodding do up.

Can someone link to the low carb spreadsheet? What’s that?

Alicatz66 · 24/08/2020 17:53

Bin the dress !!! ... get a new one ... the sales are on everywhere ...

Ninkanink · 24/08/2020 19:56

@SeasonallySnowyPeasant

It sounds doable, although DP will have to tackle the delicious Gousto box arriving tomorrow Hmm No fruit and no cashews are going to be a killer though - they were my saviour when I did the Whole 30 a few years ago.
Cashews are particularly bad for carb content.

No nuts for at least the first two weeks, and if you want it to be as successful as possible I’d keep off them the entire time.

Sorry to hijack, but you all seem very knowledgeable on this - For those that have done it, how does low-carb work with vegetarian or vegan? I’m veggie, but curently dairy-free because dd2 is still breast feeding and dairy free. My protein is eggs, beans, lentils, and occasionally quorn and tofu (not keen). My snacks are largely fruit and nuts. I am 2 stone overweight. Can i low carb, or would that basically leave me with vegetables and nothing else?

FizzyPink · 24/08/2020 21:39

To be honest I think you would struggle @RubaiyatOfAnyone unless you eat fish. I think doing low carb without any animal products you wouldn’t have enough fat in your diet and would struggle not to be very hungry.

I low carb most of the time and am also dairy free and there are lots of “low carb” recipes I can’t have because they have cheese or cream. However I eat a lot of eggs and meat alongside the shit load of green veg

FizzyPink · 24/08/2020 21:41

Oh sorry, I see that you do eat eggs. If you go over to the low carb section and find one of the week 1 bootcamp threads you’ll find the spreadsheet with all the rules.
Lots of veggies do low carb successfully but there are different rules which I’m not 100% on

FinallyHere · 25/08/2020 07:35

Never done a link on my phone before, so who knows what will happen here.

I'm hoping for a link to the latest bootcamp thread, they all have a link to 'the spreadsheet' because it has results. More importantly, it also has 'the rules' set out on other tabs, including hardcore for the first couple of weeks, a 'lite' version for frankly the rest of your life and a vegi version, too
