What do The Borrowers take in your house?

For me it's superglue. It doesn't matter how much I buy, the tubes just vanish!! What do they whip from you?

I agree with super glue. I'd always wondered where it went, and now I know!

Everything that DH can never ever seem to find

And they like to hide the remote control.

Hair bands. I buy millions and never have one. I suppose they mist be useful to the borrowers so I’ll allow them those.

One single sock, I know it went in the wash, but it didn’t come out. Bothers me where it is.

At the moment, they've got my Kindle, the paperback I was reading, a battery that was dropped in the porch and OH's flipflops. Little fuckers.

Forks. I've lost so many forks - all but one from one cutlery set, plus several from others.

Nail files. I must have dozens of them, left in every room and yet I can never find one. I suspect they are building a Fort made from nail files under the floorboards somewhere.

DS's first dummy - even when we moved out we didn't find it. He had it in his cot and then suddenly didn't 🤷‍♀️

Oh they have a list in this house. So far it consists of: two king size extra deep fitted sheets, 2.5 litres of unopened paint for the bathroom, a jumbo bath sheet (brand new, never even pre-washed!), a foot pump, several mugs, most of the teaspoons, two pear trees and a small carry on suitcase. What baffles me about the job is that all of those things were last put away by me. I can remember putting them away quite clearly, but not one of them is where they should be and none of them have turned up despite several years passing and almost every room in the house having been gutted and renovated. They have genuinely disappeared!

How can pear trees go amiss? That's baffling!

Oh yes, lids of food containers. I wonder what they use them for?

My excuse is that I live in one room only but the Borrowers have really taken over. I am in the middle of a tidy up so will probably see the little people soon!
