Nice to see so many back on the thread btw.
I’ve still a few outstanding so I’ve added more to them:
All 80s
Saying I
I want to let you go
Got that feeling
If anyone who comes to know you long enough will give you away.
There was never one as I who could stand the reasons why
Who would even take the time
Did you care, was I right?
Only once did you try
Even then it was hard enough
Just for you to realize or believe there was only one
Strong enough or hard enough to give you away
Really surprised no one got this next one so just one more line:
She asked me to stay and I stole her room
She asked for my love and I gave her a dangerous mind
Now she's stupid in the street and she can’t socialise
Someone named the artists for the next two but didn’t give the song titles so I’m keeping them in play:
Who would be the fool to maybe trick a kiss in time?
Who am I to say that's crazy?
Love will make you blind
Come to cover the lovers (Cover the lovers but don't you wake them up)
Come to sparkle the dark up (Sparkle the dark up with just a touch of make-up)
This one is pretty obscure so maybe no one knows it. It’s one of the three that had a connection. The other two were by the Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees (connection concerns the artists rather than the songs)
One mile in the air that's where she lives
Her body looks so thin and pink and small
Dropping eggs from nervous shaking hands
And swallowing her fingers as they fall
Two people dance on the edge
Three of us push them away
There's nowhere to go we're all in this
But nothing can hurt us at all
