Ah the 60's one with that lyric is called Al Capone. Also ska. I think the 70's one was influenced by the 60s one. But I don't want to start a bun fight. (Or even a bum fight, as my phone wanted to write )

Re the Janis Ian song - when I was at college (very early 80s) I had a friend who had 4 older sisters and she played a lot of early 70s stuff she had inherited when they left home. I think that song resonates when you are 17.

It's not coming @NeedToKnow101 I can hear the line 'red box of memories ' in my brain but then it's going to the bit about ' a cat in a bag waiting to drown' etc so I'm obviously mixing two songs together . I can only think of 3 other Verve songs at present and it doesn't fit with those .
