Lots and lots of surgery, it's completely changed how her face looks, she's had multiple facelifts, eyes and lips done at the very least.

Add in filters and photoshopping and you have a face that's barely recognisable as Madonna now.

She doesn't look good.

Honestly? I saw a pic on her Instagram earlier and thought she looked atrocious. If anything all the surgery is ageing as she could frankly be any age, she’s so pulled and painfully stretched looking.

She looks like she’d have to sleep with her eyes open.

She has had a lot of work but it’s her face and that’s her decision.

She gave me so much joy as a child. Happy birthday Madonna!

She doesn't look youthful, she looks like someone that's had a lot of surgery . It isn't the same thing at all .

No real objections to surgery, do what you like, but until they get massively better at it you do end up looking like Clone #1 rather than yourself.

Considering her bank balance I think the cosmetic surgery has been terrible for her. There are some celebs where its been beautifully done. Sharon stone, Cher, Jane Fonda to name a few. But unfortunately Madonna looks like a completely different person. It’s like her face has mirrored her personality and neither are attractive sadly.

Well, maybe I'm the only one who thinks she looks fabulous.

But what I really envy her is her body... many, many decades of dedicated exercise. You can't buy that.

Being truthful, I feel sorry for her. We all get older, or die. Whilst looking good for your age is great, I think she is far to invested in youth - and no matter what she does - she isn't young

Really? I thought Cher looked horrifying in the Mama Mia movie. I remember Madonna beginning to get loose skin many years ago before her first face lift. It must be hard, living in an unforgiving and judgey celebrity world where you are expected to never age

I totally agree. I remember how disappointed I felt when she first had work done, just for this reason. I hope Kate Moss doesn't also go down this route but fear she will. There must just be so much pressure when you're in the public eye.

It's sad that beautiful women feel the need to turn themselves into wax works.

What wasnt amazing was Cher in Mama Mia looking 18 but moving like my 76 year old mum. That was all kinds of creepy when the face doesn't how your body moves

I saw her doing a tv interview when she released her last album. She really didn’t look good, she seemed to shake a little too and her mannerisms didn’t match her face.
