My sister had all white flowers, tablecloths etc. (and the natural greenery from the flowers) and it was STUNNING. The pictures looked amazing - almost even better then real life.

Persephonecall · 16/08/2020 16:17

Second. It just looks more considered. All lovely though.

MimiSunshine · 16/08/2020 16:18

2nd photo. The dark centres add something more to it

By choosing either of the first two (I love them both but think the choice depends on the theme/feeling 1= more formal 2=more boho) your pop of colour becomes green as the foliage will stand out against all the white. I love green and love those flowers but just make sure you want the green xx

DappledThings · 16/08/2020 16:55

They look near identical to me

mogtheexcellent · 16/08/2020 17:00

My friend is a florist. After 15 years of doing wedding flowers she did her own. She chose white with lots of greenery. Her table arrangements were similar to your number 2 but with lisianthums (sp?) as well in gold vases on wood settings.

Stick to your guns and have what you want.

meow1989 · 16/08/2020 17:02

What colour are the bridesmaid dresses? You could add a little bif of that colour in? I thi know the first is lovely though.

MyPersona · 16/08/2020 17:03

I love anemones, so beautiful.

misschoices · 16/08/2020 17:05

@meow1989

I'm not having a bridesmaid or anything, as my DP doesnt want the hassle. I am having a small wedding due to covid so it won't make a difference.

Pre covid- we were planning on 5 on each side, and my bridesmaid and chief were wearing white kneed length dress of any kind they Already have or they can wear again.

So to answer your question, the colour is white again Smile

Just my opinion- I think having a colour palette is very 90's and I don't like all peach or pink maids next to me.

But I have seen some beautiful bridesmaid dresses and to each their own!

I personally do not like the peachy- blush type of weddings, not knocking people who do.

I think my DP said my palette is 'minimalist' - white, greenery, neutrals.

Boring to some but I like the look! I don't like having a lot of colour - makes me feel a bit boring honestly.

I may regret having all white and neutrals for the wedding in 10 years, but I have looked at countless palettes and I just cringe.

Having said that, I was a bridesmaid and wore a beautiful blue dress and it was lovely for my friends wedding.

For me, I just don't think I want a pallet or a lot wedding colours.

Ironically- I have told mum that she can wear her fav colour, due to me not having a pallet.

She chose bright blue and she looks lovely. Sister is wearing a glittery chic dress, also lovely.

Hope you're getting married late winter through to spring OP. Ranunculus and anemones won't be about before then.

DappledThings · 16/08/2020 17:19

All this talk of colour pallets seems a bit like overthinking it. If you like all white then go for it. If you like a particular flower or colour then go for that too. It doesn't have to have any coordination with anyone's outfit or anything else. Nor does anyone's outfit need to be coordinated with anyone else's outfit.

misschoices · 16/08/2020 17:20

Yes marrying in late spring! I have a florist.

sixlemons · 16/08/2020 17:21

When is the wedding? Maybe choose a few coloured flowers to match the season. Florists know what is in season and when.

Like roses in June, cornflowers in July, that sort of thing.

misschoices · 16/08/2020 17:22

@DappledThings

I agree with you! Mum is set on having a pallet and im just not liking the traditional way- tho I'm wearing a very traditional wedding dress.

I'm not asking guests to buy a new dress or match anything - I want them to wear their fav colour (aside from white) and enjoy themselves Smile

Mums can be a pain! I let mine choose my flowers for the most part. She has much stronger opinions than me!

Lucked · 16/08/2020 17:26

I had a white bouquet but some colour (pink and white hydrangeas) on the tables.

Lonecatwithkitten · 16/08/2020 17:29

Late spring you may still be able to get hellibores and they can be green white so less asture and still in your white colour scheme.

First one. Definitely. Pure class.
I'd not be matching dresses, flowers and seat covers either Hmm

reluctantbrit · 16/08/2020 17:32

I had white flowers with greenery and blue accents like cornflowers and a blue ribbon for my bouquet and the same less blue with cream candles for the tables.

I didn’t think it felt washed out and in our case it fitted the room, very elegant with lots of glass and wood, perfectly.

mogtheexcellent · 16/08/2020 17:48

If all white was good enough for the duchess of cambridge then I am sure it will be good enough for you. Your wedding sounds lovely Smile

wowfudge · 16/08/2020 17:52

All white flowers is beautiful and classic. Traditionally bridal flowers are white - things like lily of the valley, stephanotis and orange blossom. The ranunculus and anemones which are shown in your photos should both be available.

misschoices · 16/08/2020 17:53

@DappledThings

Seems we have the same mum Wink mine has many opinions, 'what about so and so's wedding!!!'
