Could be such a lovely home, but the through grey makes it soooo boring.

I’m not averse to a grey wall here or there but that’s really horrible.

ohnoitsnot · 14/08/2020 12:00

Looks like the photos are all shot in black and white

MilkLady02 · 14/08/2020 12:01

Looks like photos taken in black and whiteGrin
Easy to add your own touch though, just cosmetic.

Pieceofpurplesky · 14/08/2020 12:05

That's a lot of grey. Nice house though. I am More fascinated by the bar room!

allfalldown47 · 14/08/2020 12:11

That is literally the opposite of my dream house.
So naff!

Meganplays · 14/08/2020 12:14

I thought my eyes were broken. Nice they let their child have some colour with a pink rug 😬

Cocolapew · 14/08/2020 12:15

There's so many like this, I was looking at one yesterday and swore the photos were in black and white until I came to one with a pink rug in it.
Makes me long for brown and terracotta again Grin

Mumfymum · 14/08/2020 12:22

Oh to throw a mustard cushion or 2 in there!

Pacif1cDogwood · 14/08/2020 12:24

This takes 'neutral' to a whole new level!

I bet they decorated just for the EA's photos Grin

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 14/08/2020 12:26

It’s not going to be difficult to put colour into it though, is it. Apart from the bar monstrosity, I’d be happy with it, once decorated. I’d be even happier with the price, but maybe not the location.

Hotandknackered · 14/08/2020 12:26

I'm not into loads of grey. Although my carpets are grey as I have tons of colour and plants elsewhere. I think it's a bit mean to make a mumsnet thread knocking someone's decor choices though.

TheFaerieQueene · 14/08/2020 12:28

Not to my taste at all. Each to their own though.

iswhois · 14/08/2020 12:28

It's a nice house but the decor is awful

I think a lot of people with no taste just greywash everything because they think it goes.

It looks like council house chic to me.

Dogsgowoofwoof · 14/08/2020 12:29

Just looks like most of the Instagram home accounts.
Not my taste at all.

Pacif1cDogwood · 14/08/2020 12:30

Well, if it's an Instagram trend, it must be dead cool! Grin

sindylouwho · 14/08/2020 12:33

I don't mind a bit of grey but I need to have it with another colour. That looks awful and lifeless.

FreshfieldsGal · 14/08/2020 12:34

There's zero originality with that house sorry. Far too matchy matchy.
I much prefer houses with character.
Bargain price though!

BlueJava · 14/08/2020 12:34

Gosh, they do like grey don't that?! But it seems a good standard so you'd only have to do cosmetic changes rather than anything major and a lot of the grey will disappear with the furniture.

HouchinBawbags · 14/08/2020 12:35

I think I'm the only person I know under 40 who hasn't got at least one room all grey. It's EVERYWHERE! Every single house I see is grey grey grey. How original Hmm.
Neighbours have painted their front and back doors and fencing grey. Fine except it now looks weird as hell as the entire street (Housing association) has the exact same brown fence running unbroken for the whole length of the street and circling round the bottom and back up the neighbouring streets, all the exact same fence and colour, and now hers looks.... strange to say the least. It's not even a good job of it.
I can understand someone liking that colour palate but I have never ever seen an entire house in it. It looked like Black and white photos.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 14/08/2020 12:36

I absolutely adore grey but even I think that’s too much.

tara66 · 14/08/2020 12:36

Why was it ever fashionable?! And people are still using it? I once saw it called Auschwitz Grey and that is all I can think of when seeing walls in grey. It really drains the life out of a house! It's deathly!

HouchinBawbags · 14/08/2020 12:39

I'm a magnolia fan. All my walls are magnolia except the feature wall and my decor colour is the furniture, decorations and curtains etc. The magnolia walls are like a plain canvas but this grey obsession makes the whole thing bland and colourless. I'll be glad to see the back of it tbh along with Avocado bathroom suites.

HoneyBee03 · 14/08/2020 12:40

That's awful! It also looks like B&M or The Range threw up in there.

KingOfDogShite · 14/08/2020 12:41

The pink rug looks like it’s been put in on photoshopShock.

I’m sure they’d dislike my colourful house just as much.

Pieceofpurplesky · 14/08/2020 12:41

I think it's slightly better than the pink house
