Flipping heck, opened this thinking something terrible had happened!!

I love her too, she’s hilarious and so kind.

sitckmansladylove · 14/08/2020 10:08

Oh god I am so sorry to give you a fright. Wasn't my intention at all. So many presenters make me want to turn off these days. She is just fab. Why don't they have her as the main presenter more? She has genuine empathy and personality.

My friend and I were just having this conversation recently. She is sunshine personified! She’s so funny and I love her interviews with Dwayne Johnson Grin

I love her too!

I don’t watch This Morning anymore because Phil and Holly annoy the shit out of me but if Alison presented it all the time I’d definitely tune in more.

CallmeAngelina · 14/08/2020 10:14

I like her too; she makes me laugh with her infectious humour.
But I wonder if she can also "do" serious, which even 'This Morning' requires from time to time.

SneakyBlinder · 14/08/2020 10:15

Love her! She’s so down to earth and funny (without being scripted) I’d definitely tune in more often if she was presenting!

sitckmansladylove · 14/08/2020 10:15

On lockdown I didn't bother tuning in to Phil and Holly. Not bashing anyone but the programme needs new presenters. Ruth is lovely and real too.

ODFOkaren · 14/08/2020 10:15

She’s brilliant. She should be on more.

Holly and phill make me want to throw the telly out the window. Both simpering, vile idiots.

sitckmansladylove · 14/08/2020 10:15

She could totally do serious.

itsgettingweird · 14/08/2020 10:21

She's just so totally natural and random.

She's so endearing and doesn't take herself seriously which helps.

I've also loved watching Andi Peters on Loraine.

So lovely to see the serious side of him and for him to show what he can do.
Loved Monday when they brought in Emma Forbes and John Barrowman. Andi was fighting back tears.
Just such a normal person.

Actually if I'm honest I've preferred this summer in some ways and the change in hosts.

Always like Holly and Phil. Never liked Ramon and Ruth covering.

GMB should rid its self of PM and SR. Kate, Ben, Adil, Ranvjr, Sean and Charlotte are much better. And Laura Tobin has really shown a great presenting side being allowed to actually get a word in edgeways. She's had me in hysterics.

Happymum12345 · 14/08/2020 10:24

I’ve loved her since Big Brother. Yes, she should do more on This Morning. She brightens up the day!

BirthdayCakes · 14/08/2020 10:38

I passionately loathe ITV - especially its 'presenters' - but she is lovely..

She's warm, sincere, funny, smart, and kind. The BBC needs to annex her somehow

derxa · 14/08/2020 10:41

I loved the time she was reporting on Meghan and Harry's first royal engagement. She was running down the street yelling 'Hazza!' Ruth and Eamon were egging her on Grin
I think she could do serious. Let's start a campaign.
Also I loved Charlene White chairing Loose Women the other day. She's my favourite.

LabradorGalore · 14/08/2020 10:42

I love Alison too, there just seems to be genuine personality and kindness from her. They really lack that with the rest of the itv crew. I can’t stand Phil and Holly together.

I don’t think she’d go to the BBC though - BBC tend to have a type of presenter which is usually serious, educated and sticks to the script types. Oh and they have a massive old boys network/privileged white male problem. I’d hate for Alison to be swallowed up in that crap.

loobyloo1234 · 14/08/2020 10:42

She's so genuine and lovely. I really love watching her shine on TV. She deserves all the success that'll come her way Smile

SockYarn · 14/08/2020 10:44

I've loved Alison since her days on Big Brother. She's the sort of person you'd love to be your best friend. She'd always have your back and stick up for you.

itsgettingweird · 14/08/2020 10:45

I agree she could do serious.

The same way Andi Peters can and has shown that now he's done it.

And we don't necessarily need serious all the time. I much prefer personality and can apply serious when necessary to serious all the time.

ballsdeep · 14/08/2020 10:46

Love love love her! She's me favourite on TV . She is hilarious. The clip of when she jumped on the weather map and knocked the sailor into the Thames is one of my all time favourite clips

Waxonwaxoff0 · 14/08/2020 10:48

I love Alison too, I had no idea she started off on Big Brother until recently!

Dagnabit · 14/08/2020 10:50

She is fab. I was watching a programme about Celebrity Masterchef last night and it showed the bit where she had made two burgers and served the tiny one to Greg and John and ate the bigger one - it was so funny; her laugh is so infectious Grin

BacklashStarts · 14/08/2020 10:51

I love her! Any old crap tv if she’s in it - I watch. I even watched celebs go dating for her. Can’t bear it usually but she was really nice and real and actually a catch, unlike the rest of them!

TheMumblesofMumbledom · 14/08/2020 10:51

She's got such a down to earth voice and an easy to like personality, I'm sat here watching her whilst feeling 🤮

HaudMaDug · 14/08/2020 10:51

Best choice ITV have made in a long time.
Phil's attitude nowadays stinks and Holly has outgrown him.
Alison has such an infectious belly laugh. So smiley and up beat and the perfect counter to the current doom and gloom. I look forward to tuning in for many more "Rock"in' interviews.
Remember back in the good old days of Big Brother when she was jumping on the picnic bench and broke it.

VelvetThunder · 14/08/2020 10:52

I love her too. I was actually quite looking forward to daytime TV today when it was announced that she was presenting this morning, and with Andi Peters doing Lorraine too. Keep them as permanent presenters!

KingFredsTache · 14/08/2020 10:53

I love her too - I loved her in Big Brother and never understood why she was voted out so early. She seems like a great person to go to the pub with!
