Not just lightning but continuous, not stopping at all, I'm in the NW. I thought the light was going in the kitchen but can see it from every window.

No sound is so strange, I can hear a little thunder
This is how much it's lighting up the sky, flashes every few seconds

Wow, lightning
Thesearmsofmine · 10/08/2020 23:56

It’s really creepy with no rain or sound!

LetMeTryAgain · 10/08/2020 23:56

Lancashire coast - continuous sheet lightning with constant rumble of thunder. Pouring down now. Been like this for at least three quarters of an hour.

LockdownLoser · 11/08/2020 00:00

NE here too and it's like a strobe light with no sound. Never seen this before. Like an alien landing light!

Well this is 2020 so an alien invasion is highly likely, anything could happen this yearGrin

So jealous, please share or send it this way Grin humid, sticky and horrible here, a good storm is the only redemption... seems to be missing us tho Sad

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 11/08/2020 00:05

I'm in North Wales and a very active storm has been raging in the east for about an hour. It's like non stop lightning right now!

threesenoughthanks · 11/08/2020 00:06

It's an electrical storm. Been watching out of my window for about an hour and a half. It is really alien isn't it.

We’ve had floods, killer viruses, bubonic plague, explosions and smart monkeys...

So just volcanoes, zombies, Godzilla and aliens to go, plenty of time yet, it’s only August...

wishing I was joking

Figmentofimagination · 11/08/2020 00:10

Lancs coast as well. It's amazing. It doesn't stop!

thepixelrevival · 11/08/2020 00:10

The volcano came early in December Sad

LoveLastMinutesAndLostEvenings · 11/08/2020 00:11

I've been watching the Lightening Maps tonight and never seen anything like it! Good luck sleeping tonight but hopefully it will be cooler tomorrow for it.

If you get the storm tracker app you can click when see lightning and again when you hear thunder and it tells you how far away it is.
