Neighbours having another crazy party

Well I say another but it's the second one. They moved in just before lockdown and since restrictions have been eased have had lots of friends over. None of my business but the last party they had went on until about 4am and was LOUD. I could hear individual conversation from the house and music blaring from the back garden. We live in the house opposite theirs.

Currently they are singing "like a prayer" full blast on a karaoke machine.

Give me strength.

Last time i didn't mind as I can understand why people may have needed/wanted to let off steam after lockdown but this is a residential/family/elderly neighbourhood and it's just a bit much. Kind of worried this is their norm! And they have young kids- don't know if they're there though.

Just posting for a moan and creative vengeance ideas really!

I feel your pain.

Neighbours behind me been oartying all day and still going 😭 getting louder...
Had to move kids to another bedroom to try and get to sleep at 10pm

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 08/08/2020 23:01

Sounds like you live near me as I have had the wonders of karaoke for several hours as well.

confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:02

I'm happy they are having a great time but it's so freaking loud. We just had a nice bit of shania Twain karaoke now onto coyote ugly. So I don't actually mind the music, I'm just dreading a similar end point as last time! It's not a week night though so that's something I guess!

@whydoesitalwayshappentome which musical ditties have you had the pleasure of this evening?!

OP posts:
confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:04

Oooh Celine Dion!

I feel your pain exactly the same here. Group sing along at the momment :( . The music I can cope with, just about it's the top of the voice screeching along thats getting to me.

sofiathe2nd · 08/08/2020 23:05

Got a late 90s disco going on in the garden behind us... bit of Robert Miles and some fat boy slim at the moment

elaeocarpus · 08/08/2020 23:06

The music choices are actually good ! But if could do without the kids and dad all shouting and screaming on top of the loud music....

The irony is they complained about something another neighbour did , yet persist with CF behaviour of their own

Boreda · 08/08/2020 23:06

Oh no vengaboys here now!

confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:07

Nooo not vengaboys! Fat boy slim is good- I wonder if they would do requests?

Do you live near me?
I thought ds had borrowed my ipod last week... but it was the neighbours.
I like the music they are playing, but they didnt stop until about 3 last weekend.
Guns n roses now

TheMurk · 08/08/2020 23:08

My neighbours 18 yo son is having a party: I’m assuming parents are elsewhere.

Lots of noisy boys swearing and shouting:

Going to be a long night:

confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:10

See a one off is fine- it's just that sinking feeling where you start wondering if this is what to expect every time it's hot!

Got some Darude going on now, they’ve moved on from the cheesefest earlier (mambo no.5 etc). The lights are pretty impressive actually

VaggieMight · 08/08/2020 23:11

After midnight, whilst we're in lockdown, I think it's acceptable to yell "turn the fucking sound down" to any neighbours still partying.

4am noise is not ok. And karaoke, just no.

confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:12

I think it's all getting a bit emosh over their now, Natalie imbruglia and shouting!

OP posts:
confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:13

We have lights here too! And what I think is a tiki hut!

OP posts:
confusedandeatingcheese · 08/08/2020 23:13

Phew- living on a prayer now, they're friends again!

Trust me @VaggieMight I'm counting down- I'm hoping it will calm down a tad, if not I will say something this time for sure- or just play classical music full blast. They are making the dogs bark ffs (not our dogs fwiw)

I have had a selection of Bon Jovi. Angels twice. (Sounded no better the second time) and James - sit down.

I would not usually be too bothered but my next door neighbours had a kid's party with a bouncy castle which they kindly switched on at 07.15 this morning so my tolerance levels are lower this evening.

SuperPixie247 · 08/08/2020 23:27

Mine are the same. My NDN got dumped so he has decided to turn his house into a batchelor pad with all his mates dropping in and out.

I bought some great earplugs from amazon if anyone needs any recommendations Grin

TheMurk · 08/08/2020 23:31

I’m actually a wee bit jealous of mine.

Lying in bed watching Family Guy with cream all over my face listening to them all having a whale of a time next door!

lovelychops · 08/08/2020 23:33

My seemingly straight laced neighbours are having a gathering. There's a lot of shrieking going on, i can't tell if it's an argument or an empassioned game of pictionary.... i feel your pain op.

AlwaysLatte · 08/08/2020 23:34

4am!!! That would drive me crazy. Have you spoken to them??
