NormaStanleyFletcher. Terribly sad news we are afraid.

Norma had been a Mumsnet regular over the years and we are so sad to let you know that earlier this morning she died. She had been very ill (not Covid related ) and in the end her body couldn't cope any more. Devastating for her husband and their wonderful children, their families and friends. They will miss her terribly.

Norma really wasn't one to burden others with her worries, but was a very kind and selfless friend. So supportive of others. Generous to a fault in many ways, and very bloody entertaining.

Utterly devastating news.

We thought there may be folk on here who'd like to remember her. It's such a shock. Can't quite take it in. :(

We will miss her.

Sending so much love to her family xxx

She was generous to a fault, and I know she helped lots of mumsnetters over the years, both by her sterling advice and sympathetic ear, and practically in real life. She was such a kind and genuine person, as well as uproariously funny. She will be so missed.

She also took on the task of organising the Mumsnet Christmas appeal one year, and was so fully committed to making it work. (This was - mostly - in the days before all the scammers/freeloaders/beggars descended on MN). What a legend.

Awful awful news, she was a proper legend, bobbing back in to send love to all who knew her. I had the pleasure of meeting her too, happy times. Thanks for letting us know.

This is so sad to read. Huge sympathy to her family and friends.
Such a shock.

I remember her doing the Christmas Appeal too BIWI. It was a huge task.
