Things that make you irrationally angry?

Does anyone else have things that make them really, irrationally angry??

I am generally not an angry person and generally pretty chill most of the time, but recently, certain things make me get the rage (things that really shouldn’t) like a family member swallowing their drink really loudly or eating loudly. It annoys me so much I would have to leave the room or turn the rub up really loudly to drown them out.

I don’t remember feeling this way pre-lockdown. Wtf has changed? Is it just that I’ve spend so long in the house with people during lockdown? How do I fix it?

Please tell me I’m not alone!!

Middle lane drivers give me irrational rage and I want to ram them over into the outside lane.

Companies that use gender when they mean sex, a protected attribute.

Feralkidsatthecampsite · 05/08/2020 15:56

People who don't drive at the speed limit.
I agree lockdown has made things more irritating than usual.
Dh is driving me nuts.
Dc are driving me nuts.

When someone leaves the door open in the room I'm in! Grrr

SpanishFly · 05/08/2020 16:00

I've realised how much people irritate me when I don't have time on my own regularly.
DH's chewing is making me want to kill him.
DS2's gulping is awful.
When anyone drops anything on the laminate floor, the rage I feel at the loud sharp noise is beyond rational.

Icanttakethiscrapanymore · 05/08/2020 16:07

Late people give me the rage. Ok 15 mins I get but anymore than that imo your taking the piss.

Tailgating. Its so dangerous

People who shake there hands after they’ve washed them (dh). Water marks/splash’s on my windows.

My petty neighbours. I couldn’t give a shit that a unidentified Audi has been parked down the road all day. Its taxed and got a mot, it’s not on yellow lines or blocking anything. Its not a problem. Why I’m at it. Its a kids park of course kids will play on it. Sod off

^ feel better for that little rant. Thank you op Grin

The word belly. Especially combined with baby in referring to pregnancy.

My families inability to close things. Doors, puzzle boxes, the fridge, the dishwasher. The dishwasher especially drives me mad when they lean over the open door to reach the sink, kitchen counter or glass cupboard. Which are above the dishwasher.

Immigrantsong · 05/08/2020 16:23

Other people. Must avoid at all costs.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 05/08/2020 16:26

The drilling that's been coming from next door all afternoon and still going. They could have at least mentioned it to me beforehand.
It's pissing me right off tbh.

everythingbackbutyou · 05/08/2020 16:33

@Startofsomethingnew20, @SpanishFly I relate totally. I have misophonia , if you haven’t heard of it look it up. You will have found your people!

PalTheGent · 05/08/2020 16:35

Tailgaters. Either too stupid to know they are driving too close, or too arrogant to do anything else.

Tossers.

ProudMarys · 05/08/2020 16:36

Kids and DH leave what the carry at the front door, shoes, bags. Not closing the freezer properly so I then have to defrost it!! My elderly neighbour who I share a garden with and he never does a thing (fine he is old) but when I try to tidy it they none stop moan I've cut to much away ect!! He also gossips to the neighbours about the last people who owned our property how lovely they kept it...they were retired!

Picklypickles · 05/08/2020 16:37

My next door neighbour leaving her back door open meaning we all have to listen to her shite music and her voice that sounds like nails scraping down a blackboard.

stayathomer · 05/08/2020 16:37

The bin being overflowing or pee on the toilet seat. Oh and the term 'big girl pants!!'

Dowser · 05/08/2020 16:40

Stupid rules That don’t make sense

EasternDailyStress · 05/08/2020 16:41

My neighbour's dog. It barks really loudly and often. Neighbour says it's what dogs do. Horrible wanky noisy bastard.

toomanyplants · 05/08/2020 16:44

Retractable dog leads.
I don't have a dog by the way.

GoshHashana · 05/08/2020 16:49

If I accidentally get my sleeve wet in the sink. It fucking infuriates me.

Champagneforeveryone · 05/08/2020 16:50

Similar to spanishfly, DDogs eat out of stainless steel bowls. The easiest thing to do once they've been fed is pick the bowls up and put them in the dishwasher, but oh no, not DH. He leaves them on the floor for either a) the dogs to nudge them round the floor all day or b) me to kick on and send it clanging and scatting across the tiles. I've taken to referring to them as "the fucking dogs bowls"

Also we have those Suffolk latches on our internal doors. Every now and then one will sneakily grab hold of an item of clothing and send me reeling Hmm

Gooseygoosey12345 · 05/08/2020 17:03

Lateness, and people saying they're going to one thing and then doing another. I don't know why it makes me so angry but it gives me rage!

doyounothavegoogle · 05/08/2020 17:20

Grown women using the word boob (double rage if used as a verb)

YourVagesty · 05/08/2020 17:27

Some websites (trashy time wasting ones I'll admit) have so many vile click-bait adverts, mostly with hideously ugly or rough looking people pulling faces or brandishing cheques for god knows what. Their faces make me so angry.

And just clickbait generally, 'Clint Eastwood revealed his net worth and his family can't stop crying', 'Honey Boo Boo is so skinny now and looks like a model', etc. I can't explain why they get on my tits so much but they do.

bearlyactive · 05/08/2020 17:29

People ignoring your messages, but merrily chatting away on group chats or social media at the same time.

I also think I have misophonia - certain noises turn me into a demon!

midsomermurderess · 05/08/2020 17:34

Loud eating, hair fiddling, gum chewing.

dudsville · 05/08/2020 17:36

At the moment it's things being slow to download on this app so i go to click just as the screen adjusts and therefore click in the wrong thing.
