Can I ask the height of your 6-8 year olds?

Had DS and DSS at a local attraction recently that had height restrictions so measured DS against one of the boards and he is just over 140cm he's 7yrs 6months. I've obviously noticed he's on the tall side but it seems he's had a big growth spurt in lockdown. Just seems crazy hes now technically tall enough to not need a car seat (not that we plan on going without anytime soon)

How tall are your kids of similar ages? Reckon its just genetics?

My 6.5 year old girl is 119cm and pretty average among her peers.

My daughter is 133cm, she was 7 last month. She's about a head taller than most girls in her class but she's always been tall. Her brother (5) is 114cm as is average for his age.

I have 2 DS when they were 8 the elder was 140cm and the younger 120cm. Elder is now 5'10 and younger 6'4.. both at an age where they have stopped growing.

My 8 year old dd is 135cm, she has always been on the taller side growing up. But now she's pretty average and on the 64th percentile for her height.

DS turned 6 in March and is 127cm.

6.8 year dd 131cm. We are a race of giants though. I think her sister is going to be even taller, she's 3 and often mistaken for 6.

Not sure how tall DS was at that age but he was 138cm at 10, very average.

DD, 6 and a half, is 131.5cm (she is proud of that half centimetre!) I'm tall, DH is average height. She's in size 2 shoes.

Just turned 8 and he’s 138cm.

DS is 5 and 122cm and just growing out of his size 13 shoes!

My ds is 6 years 11 months and is 135cm he is a head taller than most of his Y1 class.

YerAWizardHarry no, they were a teeny 5 pounds at birth so have grown rapidly!

8 years old next month DD is 127cm .

DS was 6 in March, I don't know his exact height but around 122 cm I think, size 13 feet. He's taller than average for boys in his class.

My DS was 8 roughly 2 weeks ago and we measure on their birthdays and he was 147cm! He has grown exactly 10cm since his 7th birthday.

He's in size 4 shoes and I have to buy age 12 trousers for him! 10-11 in tops!

Looking at our height chart at 7.5 yrs - DS1 was 146cm, DS2 was 138cm and DD was 128cm.

My 7 year and 8 month boy is on the 98th percentile at 137cm tall. He is the second tallest in his class. The child that’s taller has a father who is 6ft 7 so at a guest I’d say he is likely to be about 6ft 2 as an adult (same as my father).

Ds is 7 and 5 months and is 126/127cm. He is very average height amongst his classmates. My dd 11 was very tall, 98th centile as a toddler and young child but is now 2nd shortest in her class.

DD is 7.5 and 119cm, she measured herself in M&S the other day and apparently we’re not going back to Disney until she’s grown by 1cm 😂
She’s got size 10.5-11 feet, so quite diddy

My 7YO is about 130cm. My 5YO is 118cm. We also recently went to a theme park with height restrictions. Poor youngest was just under the 120cm restrictions for the rides.

I am only 155cm. Which doesn't look good for me in a years time. Although we can all get on the fast rides then

DS1, 8yrs 1 month, is 120cm.

DS2 6 yrs 2 months is 116cm.
