Enter your postcode, see the restaurants within 2 miles which have signed up. Really pleased to see a lot of the smaller places near me have signed up for the scheme and will definitely be supporting them.

It has bought up places in 4 mile radius for me.

Chain restaurants/pubs/coffee shops are on a separate list .

There is a little loophole in the guidance that states that if a customer later decides to take the food away the restaurant is still eligible for the scheme. I foresee a lot of people ‘eating in’ but asking for a bag for the food! 😂

Mine gave me a 5 mile radius, my favourite isn’t on there though :(

Is coffee classed as a soft drink? Will I need to have a cake with it to "eat in, help out"? I'm willing to do my patriotic duty!

On Martin Lewis' website it said that other existing offers, including meerkat, were still going to be valid and would be taken off first.

The VAT reduction applies to takeaways - if restaurants choose to apply it.

The £10 voucher is for eating in only.

@YouReallyAre that’s interesting. So you could book a table for 6 (I believe that’s the max for meerkat meals), get buy one get one free and then get the remaining 3 meals for half price, plus all soft drinks half price too?

Hah! As if! Probably explains it then, though have to say I didn't see anything like this last time I went to pick something up.

Oh and weirdly my local Screwfix is on the list!!
Are local, non-chain hardware and tool store is on there too and they defo don't sell food. It's the first result for my postcode
