Nearly sliced my nipple off today

always been hap hazard but now I've nearly lost a nipple! Was in the bath shaving my legs and brought the razor higher up than intended resulting me having to wear a plaster on my nip until the bleeding stopped Anyone else done anything daft lately resulting in an injury?

Yes! I was also in the bath shaving and felt something a bit scratchy on my razor. Did my legs, dried off and put my jeans on. Half an hour later my legs were stinging so bad. Took my jeans off and voila! It’s on both legs! So sore!

Glad it wasn’t my nipple though!

Did exactly that a few years ago. Whilst shaving my armpit. I'm quite honestly amazed I've never done it before or since but keep my razors on the blunt side just in case.

I recall the nipple healed surprisingly quickly. You have my sympathies.

I have a fear of straightening my hair topless in case of any nipple injuries. Always have to put on a bra to make sure they’re covered up!

I was trying on a too small tankini top. As I pull it over my boobs the material caught my nipple. I swear I thought I'd torn it off. Still makes me boak thinking about it.

@turnedout I've done this. Always had small boobs but grew when pregnant. I didn't factor this in when I was straightening my hair and fried my nipple

I was shaving once and noticed hair in the blades

So without thinking I rubbed by thumb across them.

Had two thick slits on my thumb and my god did they bleed for ages

Managed to trap my nipple in my dressing table drawer a few weeks ago.
(Yes they're that droopy)
I was convinced I'd took the whole thing off and it was lying in the closed drawer, couldn't even look for at least a minute.
When I did it was intact, and bruised to hell.
I am SO careful now!!

I did slice the "knuckle" (don't know what else to call it) of my big toe off once while shaving... Yes I was shaving my big toe.

A friend of mine neatly removed a strip of skin from behind her ankle and ended up in A&E. The doctor said it looked like a diy skin shave for a skin graft. She ended up with scarring too 😳

I was pregnant and ironing on my bra as I was so hot. Burnt my belly.

I clamped mine in my laptop. I was being lazy wfh and decided to lounge on the sofa and had a loose top with no Bra. As I finished up i snapped my laptop closed and trapped both nipples.

I HAVE ALSO DONE THIS!!! I can’t believe someone else in the world has!!

Just to add I was also the poster who nearly ripped her nipple off on the corner of a window a few months ago

It was a month old razor and I didn’t check the blades before I shaved. It had rusted. My little granddaughter keeps crying when she looks at my legs so I’ve had to hide them under a maxi dress.
Still burning now!

Lesson learnt

I removed a full-thickness square inch of skin from my ankle with a wax strip. It was twenty years ago and I can still almost feel it. (My ankles are practically hairless anyway, wtf was I doing?)

I almost forgot. My 3yo recently pulled herself up off the sofa using, yes my nipple. I think the neighbour heard the howl.
