www.worldofwallpaper.com/madison-rose-floral-wallpaper-blue-119503.html

The blue and grey rose pattern - 1 wall only (behind the headboard) and all other walls plain white and minimalistic style.

Is it old fashioned looking or not in your view?

I’m not a fan of flowery or busy wallpaper at all usually but kinda like this one.

Sorry I think it's vile. In my opinion it looks cheap and dated. However, I'm not an interior designer and if you like it then have it!

Elouera · 11/07/2020 18:57

If you like it, go for it, but I find it hideous! Like something from a home make-over show where they want to update a home that was last done in the 90's, and this is what they had!!!

Why not have a feature wall in a single colour instead, or a different pattern instead of that?

PickAChew · 11/07/2020 19:00

I like the colours but the pattern looks too 3D and does my eyes in.

I quickly go off a nice paper or fabric if I see anything unintended like weird optical effects or faces.

I don't like it either, I don't like patterned feature walls and that does have a particularly weird 3d effect which makes my eyes feel funny.

joyjester · 11/07/2020 19:06

I love it....but I think wallpapers on feature walls is a bit yesterday

Bettysprocker · 11/07/2020 19:12

My young teen daughter has similar, it's all pale pink roses. It was her choice and it's only on one wall. I don't particularly like hers but it has been up a couple of years. Yours already looks dated and the two colours just don't look right, sorry.

HelpMeh · 11/07/2020 19:15

It's another no from me, sorry.

MrsExpo · 11/07/2020 19:18

Definite no from me, but it's your house and your taste. If you like it, go for it.

justanotherneighinparadise · 11/07/2020 19:19

Oh no, feature walls are a bit passé now, particularly bright ones with big patterns.

Nanalisa60 · 11/07/2020 19:27

I really like it for a bedroom, especially if you are using a lot of white with it.

Manteo · 11/07/2020 19:30

It's looks cheap and unimaginative. It looks like the rest of the room would be Mrs Hinch style.

emelsie · 11/07/2020 19:35

No , it reminds me of something you would see in an Argos catalogue probably 10 years back , with matching curtains and lamps ...but that's just my opinion and my taste , you should always do what you like to see in your own home , I'm sure lots of people would think my house is bland, boring and unimaginative, they are probably right but it makes me feel calm and I like it.

CottonSock · 11/07/2020 19:37

No from me too sorry.
I've been looking for feature wall paper too, but can't commit.

LynetteScavo · 11/07/2020 19:40

It's not to my taste, but I dont live in your house

Cherrysoup · 11/07/2020 19:44

Why do you care what others think? If you like it, go for it. My only caveat would be that you might have to tone in furnishings/duvet cover if that kind of thing bothers you.

userxx · 11/07/2020 19:49

Who cares what others think, go for it. I've got a feature wall in my bedroom and love it, it was dull without it.

KoalasandRabbit · 11/07/2020 19:56

I don't like it, looks modern to me but it's you who will be looking at it so if you love it go for it.

carly2803 · 11/07/2020 20:08

not a fan - at all

but its your room, order a sample and live with it for a week?

Thanks everyone. Surprising that almost everyone dislikes it. Can you put a link to wallpaper designs you do like (IF you like wallpaper and feature walls) - just out of curiosity :)

I really dislike "feature walls" but the world would be v boring if everyone was the same.

If you like it then go for it.

Dotinthecity · 11/07/2020 20:22

I think it's hideous but then again, I like MissPrint wallpapers (particularly Little Trees) and you may think they're hideous. You should choose something you like.

MorvaanReed · 11/07/2020 20:24

If I had the right room and the money it wouldn't just be a feature wall.

What do you think of this wallpaper for a feature wall?
iano · 11/07/2020 20:26

It's a big pattern and although the colours are muted it seems a bit busy... it might look better in real life?
If you like it get it! You can't please everyone and your view is the most important.
