The blue and grey rose pattern - 1 wall only (behind the headboard) and all other walls plain white and minimalistic style.

Is it old fashioned looking or not in your view?

I’m not a fan of flowery or busy wallpaper at all usually but kinda like this one.

I’m obsessed with this wallpaper and am trying to talk my DH into having this in our bedroom.

Would be fine for a small toilet, otherwise not for me- sorry!
It is your house though and you should really have your home exactly how you want it and not decorate it according to other’s tastes.

I chose this for my feature wall, room has a jungle/safari type theme, and we live real close to a zoo!

I like the colours! Not to my taste otherwise though. It's hardly hideous as a PP said, just a few flowers! Go for it if you like it OP.

NellyF1 · 11/07/2020 21:00

Thanks everyone so far. Interesting a lot of people liking animal / wildlife themed wallpaper as the ones they’d go for.

It would be a no from me, both to the paper and papered feature walls.

Shmithecat2 · 11/07/2020 21:48

Nope, it's very dated in pattern and colour. On top of that, I think feature walls are a bit passed it now.

whereorwhere · 11/07/2020 22:00

I like the one with the lemurs your one is not to my taste - there are loads of nice animal ones or if you want some ok thing without animals I suggest this www.fashioninteriors.co.uk/cole-and-son-woods-wallpaper-69-12147.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8uOn8ovG6gIVibbtCh01UAFrEAkYASABEgILxfD_BwE

I love this sooo much

I love it. One of my family has it in pink and it looks lovely.

I work in soft furnishings/interiors, and think that wallpaper looks really cheap....... sorry.

We've just done some clients wall in Rainforest Rabble in the Juniper colour (about half way down the page) - it looked amazing, as they had really high ceilings.

midsomermurderess · 11/07/2020 23:04

I don't like it. If feature walls are your thing, maybe look at some of these, at least they have a kitsch appeal wallpaper

musicposy · 11/07/2020 23:18

I love it.

But I like what I like and I don’t care if it’s up to date/ old fashioned/ classy etc or not. If I like it that’s all that counts so I’d never ask in the first place.

My point is if YOU like it, who cares what any of us think?

EmmaStone · 12/07/2020 08:02

Not that it matters what I think, but it's not my taste.

I do love bold wallpapers though, and have been known to have feature walls. I've got this in my downstairs loo: shop.ninacampbell.com/ashdown-wallpaper-range-16327.html

And am currently trying to find the right place for this wallpaper. I like the bolder colour ways, but think they may be too much for a whole room, whereas the softer colours might be able to do a whole room: www.farrow-ball.com/wallpaper/lotus.

Katinski · 12/07/2020 08:37

I like the paper BUT do the other walls have to be white? There's no white in the paper to tie the paper in to the rest of the room - would you consider a hint-of one of the colours in the paper for the other walls?

QuentinQuarantino · 12/07/2020 09:10

I think it's rather cheap and dated looking tbh.

I remember when house-hunting about 5 years ago, coming across SO many houses with one wall of rooms done in this kind of tacky OTT paper. We ended up calling them Wilkos walls. Huge flowers or stripes seemed to be the most popular.

Feature walls in general are not my thing but the other papers linked in the thread look more luxe and interesting.

monkeyonthetable · 13/07/2020 23:06

OP, it's not to my taste either. I agree with people who say it looks like it would go in a house with crushed velvet grey sofas, grey carpets, grey everything, which imo is getting very dated and is also quite cold and bleak. If you are not usually a fan of flowery, busy wallpaper, I'd reconsider. You might go off it quite quickly.

dontgobaconmyheart · 14/07/2020 03:35

Sorry OP, I think it's monstrous. I'd expect to see similar in B&M or home bargains, it's those vibes. To answer specifically, yes, it is very dated in my own opinion, very early 00's.

I am a big believer in decorating your home how you like it though and not for others or to follow a trend for the sake of doing so. I'm also absolutely aware and fully accept that others might find my own decorating choices awful, these things are surely subjective!

The only thing I would say really is if you're unsure- don't. Stripping wallpaper is an awful drag.

allmycats · 14/07/2020 15:35

If you like it go for it, you are the one living with it. I do not like it. Have you considered a classic pale blue toilet, imo this never dates.
