What weird things have you found yourself watching on Youtube?

I've somehow found myself addicted to watching old Corporate training videos, like McDonalds, Pizza Hut, various Supermarkets and Blockbusters. I think it's the combination of '90s nostalgia, laughing over how terrible they are, and getting to see some inside secrets.

What strange but addictive videos have you found on Youtube?

I love the ones of people gambling in Vegas and other big casinos.

Lady Luck HQ and Slotlady are my faves.

My teen DSs love watching football fan ones, they’ve even got me watching Goldbridge doing his cooking shows Blush

espressoontap · 10/07/2020 22:59

@Bobbiepin two I can think of - drbooger and dr.fizasiregar. I also follow the #earwaxremoval tag Blush

NotEvenTheKing · 10/07/2020 22:59

I'm currently obsessed with Bailey Sarian.

She tells true crime stories while she does her make up.

It sounds weird, but it's gripping Grin

Habbyhadno · 10/07/2020 23:00

Mango worms. Don't go there.

LemonLapin · 10/07/2020 23:01

Villanemme Those sound really interesting actually. I'll have to check them out, along with vacuum repairs. baking with sex toys and so many other weird and wonderful things mentioned here.

o]][/quote] I came on to mention her. She’s really good. And it’s quite fascinating watching her layer on the make up. Even the really weirdo make up she does looks amazing.

And I love the murder mystery Monday’s.

Steve1989MRE, he eats and reviews extremely expired military meals. It's fascinating, shocking, hilarious and gross all at the same time.

Dan Bell, documents dead malls, goes into terrifying abandoned buildings in the middle of the night, checks dreadful motels for their cleanliness. Basically a fantastic filmmaker and entertainer

Retail Archeology, similar to Dan Bell but without the creepy stuff. More upbeat reviews of all kinds of malls and dying retail culture.

GeorgiaWeLoveYou · 10/07/2020 23:07

Food videos.

Supersize Vs. Superskinny, fat camp, eating challenges...you name it, I've watched it Grin

Snowytreecricket · 10/07/2020 23:13

@Cocolapew snap! I can spend hours watching pressure washers clean things and Brad Mondo is insanely amazing Grin

My other guilty pleasures are asmr related:
Southern Sounds ASMR the videos where she randomly starts reorganising stores are strangely relaxing.
Also the empress ASMR she whispers about true crime cases.

Phossy · 10/07/2020 23:18

An ITV game show called The Interceptor that ran for eight compulsively bad episodes in 1989.

itsthefinalcountdown · 10/07/2020 23:21

Numbers Stations . Something to do with Cold War transmission and espionage . They are absolutely fascinating, and very eerie . My old work’s hold music (NHS) was very similar to one - Lincolnshire poacher - very strange .

Cocolapew · 10/07/2020 23:28

@Snowytreecricket there was an ASMR video on Brad's page and she made me want to kill things.
I saw one of Bailey Sarians videos but forgot who it was so thanks for the reminder 😁

SmellsLikeAHamsterCage · 10/07/2020 23:31

Old episodes of Crimewatch. Though it's a bad idea at nighttime because as I keep replaying 'Don't have nightmares!' In my head as I try to go to sleep followed by cases that make me scared to sleep. ☹️

I also like watching episodes of Sunset Beach. It's a really cheesy American soap opera from the late 90s but very addictive! 😳

On FB, I watch a lot of those 5 minute craft/ hack videos. Not because the hacks are any good but because they're so awful. I always feel like I've wasted my life after watching them but at the time I can't stop myself. 🤷🏻‍♀️

ShowOfHands · 10/07/2020 23:36

I watch a YouTuber who teaches people who speak English as a second language, how to sound more fluent, idiom usage, pronunciation, inflection and so on.

English is my first language. I have three English degrees, including linguistics.

Crankley · 10/07/2020 23:38

I can't remember where I got this link from, it may have been from MN but if you want to waste two minutes of your life, watch this:

I can't make up my mind which is the most pathetic, the actual folding, or the person who thought it would be interesting enough to make a Youtube video about it - both I think.

Enjoy!

Lollypop4 · 10/07/2020 23:38

speed cleans!
Im very drawn to watching people clean their houses!! Most of the houses are so nice too...
Ive lost a couple hrs a night before ..., so silly haha

Lollypop4 · 10/07/2020 23:41

Dr Pimple popper too!
Im one of those gross people!!

Crankley · 10/07/2020 23:44

Forgot to add this one which I watch occasionally:

Crankley · 10/07/2020 23:48

Lollypop4 I can't believe people choose to watch that! I was flicking through tv channels and this was on and the doc was squeezing something that looked like sick out of this huge lump. I kept flicking. Grin

BobbinThreadbare123 · 10/07/2020 23:54

ASMR videos about hair
Silent baking
Dr Pimple Popper
Chiropody videos - the relief of someone having a painful looking ingrown toenail sorted is immense

gingajewel · 10/07/2020 23:54

Theme parks! Point of views on rides, walks round theme parks, that theme parks used to look like, videos of people on rides at theme parks and sometimes water parks! I have no idea why tbh! But I spend hours watching people on rides at Alton towers and then the history of Alton towers, then theme parks in Spain, then water parks..... I could go on and on!!! I am deeply interesting obviously!!

If you like the 5 min shit craft videos look up Brandon Farris on YouTube. He recreates the 5min crafts. (He is loud and slightly insane though so if you dont like loud and insane you might not like it)
NotEvenTheKing · 11/07/2020 00:10

Lollipop I saw her in fb first, went looking on YouTube as fb censored words like 'sex' and 'drugs' and it was too annoying. Grin

titnomatani · 11/07/2020 00:15

Watching videos of rugs being cleaned- I've lost count of how many hours of my life I've lost watching such videos:
