By myself, all tickets are a fiver & I was actually the only person in the screening! Bought my ticket online, showed them my email and there was hand sanitiser everywhere as well as wipes. In through the main front door and had to exit out the back.

As I left the auditorium, there was a member of staff in mask, gloves & visor waiting to go in and clean.

I really enjoyed it. Felt very safe, great value & will go again next week I think.

All the films are repeats, some from recently like Emma & Little Women as well as some from last year and some classics.

@MarcelineMissouri sadly The Secret Garden is another film that is being sent straight to video on demand. Due out on August 7th.
That's a shame. Will have to look out for it on streaming then and see what else we can go and see Smile

You are seriously disturbed, Skyliner.

MarcelineMissouri · 13/07/2020 18:03

I hope they enjoy it @Panicmode1 Christopher Nolan is a genius. I really hope Tenet is released soon.

Panicmode1 · 13/07/2020 18:14

They've seen it before (on a small screen) but are super excited to see (and hear) it at the cinema!

MarcelineMissouri · 13/07/2020 19:05

Christopher Nolan films are definitely made for the big screen!

kierenthecommunity · 13/07/2020 20:21

I’m a shift worker so love going to the cinema alone during the day already. I’m just gutted they’re opening when the school holidays are starting so I’ll have to take DS 😂

JuneFromBethesda · 13/07/2020 20:27

We had tickets booked to see Interstellar this evening at our local Odeon. Beyond excited as it’s one of my favourite films but I’ve never seen it on the big screen.

Arrived at the cinema to find it shut. Checked my emails - half an hour before the film was due to start, Odeon emailed to say that the showing had been cancelled.

I’m furious, and so disappointed AngrySad

MarcelineMissouri · 13/07/2020 20:48

Oh no how annoying for you @JuneFromBethesda Angry I know odeon did make changes to their cinema reopening plans and pushed more of them back as the new releases got pushed back again. They should have contacted you a lot earlier than that!

TippledPink · 13/07/2020 20:58

The Odeon near me has opened and with all older films, but it's still full price! I am not paying the ticket price for a new release for something I can get on DVD. Shame as I would have taken the kids to see something.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 13/07/2020 21:01

I have just booked for DS and I to go this week at our local Showcase. £5 each for tickets and we could pre order drinks and snacks online too. Can't wait!

JuneFromBethesda · 13/07/2020 21:26

Thanks @MarcelineMissouri We’ve rebooked at another Odeon (in a bigger town a bit further away) for tomorrow night, having miraculously managed to get a babysitter. Really hope they don’t cancel this one at the last minute as well ...!

MarcelineMissouri · 15/07/2020 13:55

How was your visit @JuneFromBethesda?

MabelStark · 16/07/2020 00:15

I've been twice already - love the cinema as I'm forced to put down my phone and watch. Saw The Greatest Showman last Monday and then Lawrence of Arabia on Sunday. Saw both at the Showcase - had a coffee from the Costa and bought popcorn. All very well organised and so quiet - just choosing what to see next week.

blurpityblurp · 16/07/2020 01:20

Jealous!! None of the cinemas near me re-open till the end of July.
