Inspired by the 5 ft 3 thread.
Prior to lockdown I was 10 and a half stone and pretty strict with myself diet wise. I am now 11 stone and more relaxed and can't decide whether to try to loose half a stone or stick with where I am now.

@Deelish75

I’m 5.10. At 10.5st I looked gaunt, but at 11st I looked fine.
I'm the same - or so my DH thinks.

I'm currently 11 stone but hung around 10st 10 before lockdown. I can't wait to get back to the gym as I feel so spongy and have lost my upper body muscle. However DH much prefers me with a few extra pounds as feels I look unhealthy if I drop 4 or 5 pounds.

Who would think that just a few pounds makes such a difference but for me, it really does. I'm still a size 10-12 (depending on the shop!) but much prefer seeing 10st something on the scales!

Of course muscle mass will play a massive part in how we look and what dress size we wear. I think I have next to no muscle so any weight just gives me a flabby stomach but I can see how you/one could be heavier and look better for sure.

Minikievs · 10/07/2020 10:31

I'm 5 8 and about 9 st 9. I'm not fat but I feel really flobby and untoned. I look ok in clothes but without them I look like a melted candle

DoAsDreamersDo · 10/07/2020 10:52

I’m 10st7 and a size 8/10 ( 8 top and 10 bottom)

LookToTreblesGoingTreblesGone · 10/07/2020 10:54

5ft 10 and I'm now 10st 6lbs. In February I was 12st 6lbs but I've been dieting through lockdown and now feel a lot better for the weight loss. I'm now a size 12/14 depending on the shop sizing!

CallarMorvern · 10/07/2020 11:03

5'10" and 75kg, think that's roughly 11.5 stones. I'm size 12-14. Four years ago I was 120kg and size 22, so I'm quite happy with 75kg😁

DryIce · 10/07/2020 11:06

Such a range! I'm 5'9, and 11 stone, which is the heaviest I've ever been and a size 10/12 (probably more 12).

A 2yo and a 1yo and lockdown hasn't helped, most of my adult life I've been around 10 stone and a smallish 10

KobeWan · 10/07/2020 11:20

I'm just over 5'9 , weigh just under 9 and teeter on the edge of being in the underweight category but I have absolutely no boobs whatsoever and never have. I don't know how much boobs weigh, but I'm sure if I had a proper pair my weight would be sitting nicely at a higher bmi. I feel quite happy at this weight though and I think I suit it.

Feeling very fat. I’m 13 st 3lb, and 5 ft 10. Know I am overweight, but now feeling very big compared to everyone else. Size 16... although trousers are getting tight.

Two ish years ago I dieted down to 11st 10lb. Size 14- 16 then.

Need to motivate myself, but finding it very hard at the moment.
So many of you in the 10 stone area... I am surprised everyone is so light!

Sammysquiz · 10/07/2020 11:36

It’s interesting to see how much weight varies in people who are the same clothes size. I’m 5ft9 and weigh 150lb. I was 145lb a month ago and started exercising loads and eating healthily, and now I look slimmer, have a smaller waist circumference but weight 5lb more!

Littlemissweepy · 10/07/2020 12:18

Agree weight variance on here is really interesting. I mentioned I am 9st 8lb, but like a PP have no boobs to speak of. Size 8-12, S/M depending on store, and not atall gaunt. Weight goes straight to my belly.

KittyHawke80 · 10/07/2020 19:58

5 ft 9; nearly fifteen stones. Would like to be around 12-13.

MaverickDanger · 10/07/2020 20:02

5ft 9 and my target weight is about 67-70 kg.

I started lockdown overweight with an injury at 78kg and I’m now pregnant. Hoping to not hit more than 90kg.

Almost40Nooo · 25/04/2024 20:50

Apologies for reigniting a zombie thread!

Very intrigued by the weights and sizes given for those who are 5ft 10.

I am this height and at my heaviest 13 stone.

No one would have described me as massively obese (as I was a dress size 12 and jean size 14) however definitely very unhappy.

At my thinnest in my early 20s I was 10 stone. I was absolutely tiny and looked strangely thin.

I’m now about 11 stone 5 and a dress size 8 and jean size 8. However I’m convinced vanity sizing has a lot to do with this.

I’m aiming to get to 11 stone. I think anything under that would look unhealthy - BUT I’d still be WELL within healthy BMI range.

Weird eh!
