My perfect house...

Has come on the market. It has everything I could wish for:
Fantastic views,
Period features to die for,
Modern well equipped kitchen,
Library
More than enough bedrooms,
Skylight above the stairs
Outbuilding with potential,
Veg beds and space for a greenhouse.

Only problem it is right the other end of the country, jobs and family are all here. Sad

What is your dream (property or otherwise)?

My perfect house...

It is beautiful and a lovely area. I'm in my dream home, not nearly as lovely as that one, but I love it. Worried we may need to move due to redundancy 😭

Wishihadanalgorithm · 06/07/2020 22:46

It is stunning. Just shown DP and he’s all for selling up and buying it. Thinks lockdown has proven he can WFH so let’s do it. Unfortunately I don’t think I can WFH in the long term. Beautiful views and lovely gardens.

NotYourHolidayDick · 06/07/2020 22:48

HOLY FUCK I COULD AFFORD THAT

Almost worth selling up and moving there.

Dear fucking god.

Sertchgi123 · 06/07/2020 22:50

It’s lovely. 💕

Alltheyoungpups · 06/07/2020 22:51

Isn't it funny, that house does absolutely nothing for me. It's about 10 times bigger than mine but it leaves me cold. Far too big and cold, too formal. Give me a little hobbity cottage in the woods any day.

Sandsnake · 06/07/2020 23:01

Oh, I love it! Just shown it to DH as we lie in bed. We’re currently buying and selling in the south east and both of us can’t believe that you can get that for that price!

Andahelterskelterroundmylittle · 06/07/2020 23:02

Its a lovely area, not far from me. If it makes you feel any better its about 10 miles /20from mins from the large Trident Nuclear Base . Maybe put some folk off z wee bit ! Not me though its gorgeous and if there is a nuclear strike I'd rather be in the centre of the zone 😁😁😁🌈🌈🌈

Cherrysoup · 06/07/2020 23:13

Not perfect, I’d prefer further east, but it has an income stream (holiday let’s/trekking centre) plus the land to have the horse at home.

It's gorgeous OP! 😍

thegcatsmother · 06/07/2020 23:59

That's lovely, but the kitchen is a let down, I'd have expected an AGA or an Everhot for a property like that. Loved the library - I need one of those. Our last rental abroad had beams and barrel vaulted ceilings, so I would feel at home in that bedroom. I'd paint it pink at the base and graduating through to dark blue at the top, and stamp gold stars all over it for a medieval feel.

Sadly, it's in the wrong place, unless dh rejoined the RN and we had to go to Faslane.

Longdistance · 07/07/2020 00:09

Wow! We’re on the market and our maximum budget is £800k. That is 👌🏼 top quality.

moolaalaa · 07/07/2020 00:12

I know where I will be retiring to now.

DustyMaiden · 07/07/2020 00:14

I love it. Was expecting a £3 million price tag.

Bouledeneige · 07/07/2020 00:15

Love the scottish house and in an amazing location. I hate to be boring but it would be too large for me and too costly to run.

WatchoutfortheROUS · 07/07/2020 00:15

That's an absolutely beautiful house!!

Cecilia2016 · 07/07/2020 00:18

I love this house

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 07/07/2020 00:28

I want, quite desperately, to buy this windmill:

DramaAlpaca · 07/07/2020 00:34

That house is stunning, just perfect. I'd love to buy it and I wouldn't want to change a thing.

DuineArBith · 07/07/2020 00:36

Oh, yes, that would do me. What a fabulous view! The trouble is that in my area the price would be at least three times as much.

PhilCornwall1 · 07/07/2020 05:52

Holy shit!! £645k+ ????Shock

You could add at least another million for that where I'm living!! I'm in the wrong part of the country. Hmmmm must talk to my wife and boys about a move. 🤔🤔

weepingwillow22 · 07/07/2020 06:06

That is lovely OP. I also love this one which is close by although a completely different style.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 07/07/2020 06:16

Isn't it crazy to think that there are parts of this country where a house like that would easily cost more than £20 million.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 07/07/2020 06:27

I totally love this house,OP. I told DH to ignore the flurry of buyers coming through, just in case. That price! That view!

He said what the hell. Too big. Who would more that lawn and clean that house? Unromantic sod.

Lucky for him we are in America 😁

CormoranStrike · 07/07/2020 06:27

That’s beautiful OP, very nice part of the world too. Excellent ferry links too, so not too isolated despite being isolated.

Canigoonroblox · 07/07/2020 06:52

That’s such a beautiful house. I wonder if a swimming pool in a conservatory would spoil it? The only draw back I can think of might be the midges!
