I really need a new series to watch. I've just finished Lots of Little Fires and loved it. Also recently watched the German series Dark.
I know these threads come up again and again, I have searched but can't find a recent one.
Any suggestions are gratefully received 😀

Money Heist - great Spanish drama. Put the settings on to subtitles though rather than dubbed.

Emmie12345 · 04/07/2020 21:35

Am loving Schitt’s Creek too at the moment

I watched the dubbed version of money heist (normally HATE dubbed viewing!!) but I started to not notice after a while and I don’t want to hear their real voices because I loved them as they were. Honestly it is such an incredible show!!

Also agree season 2 of you is better than the first.

Download 7 day trial of prime and binge all 8 seasons of Dexter.

If you’re after a film, I recently watched black butterfly (have yet to find another soul who’s seen it!!!) I thought it was brilliant and very clever

Dh and I have just binge watched the first 4 episodes of Unbelievable. It’s really good.

Meercat2 · 04/07/2020 22:57

LuckyMarmiteLover I watched Unorthodox and thought it was brilliant too

fantasmasgoria1 · 04/07/2020 23:01

Snowpiercer is absolutely brilliant!

TonytheDog · 04/07/2020 23:13

This is Us - Prime
The Sinner - Netflix

CoRhona · 05/07/2020 01:16

'Justified' on Prime - can't praise it enough!

'The Shield' on All4 is another great series.

gavisconismyfriend · 05/07/2020 01:43

Unforgettable on Prime

ExhaustedBeyondBelief · 05/07/2020 01:53

Netflix - Dead to me

Ozark! Brilliant!

Unbelievable is very good too.

On Prime (and previously on BBC) The Bridge. Absolutely the best series ever ever.

ExhaustedBeyondBelief · 05/07/2020 01:58

Sweet magnolias was excellent although left you on a very good cliff hanger and over a year to wait for the next series

jevoudrais · 05/07/2020 02:06

Stranger Things
Dynasty
Ozark

TreacherousPissFlap · 05/07/2020 04:39

DS and I have been watching The Great with Elle Fanning. It's actually on Starzplay and I hadn't quite worked out how to watch it on Prime so ended up signing up for a months free subscription.Confused

Blueuggboots · 05/07/2020 07:23

Outlander is entertaining!

Literallynoidea · 05/07/2020 07:31

I found This Is Us a bit saccharine and American/obvious so gave up.

Schitts Creek is funny though and easy watching.

Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix also good.

Literallynoidea · 05/07/2020 07:32

Also Unorthodox and Epstein both vg

SkiingIsHeaven · 05/07/2020 11:10

The Capture
The truth about the Harry Queberr affair.

Both very good

Starisnotanumber · 05/07/2020 11:25

If you haven't already seen it Peaky Blinders all the series are on netflix.
Did all 5 over a couple of weeks while on lockdown.

Meercat2 · 05/07/2020 14:21

I watched the first 2 episodes of Unbelievable last night and really enjoyed it, although some of it is hard to watch. Makes it even harder knowing it's based on a true story. I will work my way through the list of suggestions.

I have heard that Peaky Blinders is very good. For some reason the fact it has so many series makes it feel like a commitment. I know in reality it shouldn't matter. I've watched most of all the Scanning dramas with a sense of nostalgia (I'm Danish). The latest, New Nurses feels a bit tame and slow, perhaps better suited for rainy Sunday afternoons

I know what you mean about thinking you should finish all series of something but you can leave after 1 series and go back easily, same characters but time has moved on.
If you have bbc I player try detectorists and This country. Both really worth watching

rosegoldwatcher · 05/07/2020 16:27

You are Danish OP!

Not a series, but have you seen the films The Guilty and The Day Will Come? Both on Netflix and superb!
