My mother thinks my dad’s clothes are too skimpy

This is something I never thought I would be posting about...

My other is in her 60s but has always been young for her age, in that she has always had younger friends and looks and behaves like someone younger. She considers herself to be someone who has liberal views, etc. This is why I am so surprised by her views all of a sudden!

Dd is 14 and very sensible. When she first entered the tween/teen phase, she was very uncomfortable with the changes to her body and just wanted to wear trousers and baggy jumpers. In the last few months she seems to have finally become more comfortable with herself and not feel ,ike she has to hide. Today she wore a new top, which is quite fitted but with some loose mum style jeans and trainers. She sent a photo to my mother and my mother actually called her and asked her if I knew she was wearing that as it was inappropriate!!! I had a conversation with my mother and my mother seems to think 14 year olds should not wear anything that is slightly revealing. The thing is that dd just dresses to please herself - no one else - and she is not even curvy so does not look like she is trying to look sexy or anything... the top was a bit like this:

Thoughts? Am I an irresponsible parent?

I love that top and would be happy for my athletic 13 year old to wear it.

I’d remind your mum how lucky she is that DD is is such frequent contact.
