Best supermarket oven chips?

As there seem to be far too many variations of oven chips to choose from, I am looking for your tried and tested recommendations please.

I prefer a chunkier chip, but would consider anything really.

Still somewhat spoilt for choice but at least there's a bit of agreement about which ones I need to try out.

McCain Gastro Chips and Lidl - both Beef dripping chips and the Deluxe Maris Piper oven chips, all fabulous.

My top tip for oven chips is put the seasoning on before you put them in the oven. It's a game changer. We like McCain's skinny fries and the sweet potato fries in the Asda fresh section.

Another vote for McCain gastro chips. SO good.

The ones with two ingredients are best. Potatoes and vegetable oil. Waitrose are the best I’ve found so far.

The ones with long lists of batter and flavourings are grim.

McCain gastro chips. Delicious but terrible for you.
McCain home fries....the best all rounder.
Aldi skin on fries....best if you want skinny chips
Tesco finest chunky chips if you want really chunky.

Now I really want chips.....

The Lidl beef dripping ones are fab. They feel like a proper takeaway treat

I haven’t tried them but Sainsbury’s has Leon’s waffle fries. The ones from an actual Leon’s restaurant are nice.

they are all much of a muchness imo.
it's more in the cooking than in the product.

the oven needs to be quite hot and the tray needs to go in the top third of the oven.
they always take longer than it says on the pack or I have a shit oven

My Home Bargains always have Albert Bartlet ones in.

Aldi - Specially Selected - Maris Piper Chunky Oven Chips. These are the best! Like pub chips.

I came on to say this. Aldi champion. They are ace.

We also discovered Morrisons skin-on fries last week and were impressed.
