Oh I'm so glad it's not just me. The title of this post has had me cackling with laughter.
DS1 has ASD so gets very earnest and indepth anyway. Fortunately DS2 is nearly as addicted so he does get some genuine engagement.
If they're not actually playing, they're probably watching youtube about it on the TV.
I think one of DS2's best days of lockdown was the afternoon I was so bored that I asked them to show me how to play right from punching a tree. DS1 rattled off about all kinds of stuff, but DS2 bless him, was a great natural teacher, really patient, pitched at the right level. I called it our home school for that day, lifeskills: leadership/ team working.
